指令を受け、シーメンスでは、危険物質使用制限を意識し た開発、製造、およびコンピューターや医療機器などの自社製品のリサイクルを行ってい る。同社は、
1993
年より、環境に優しい製品デザインを製造するためのSN 36350
規格を社 内で独自に採用している。RoHSに関しては、現在、シーメンスの製造施設で、無鉛はん だごてなどを中心に準拠達成に向けての活動が行われている。リサイクルに関しては、廃 電気･電子製品の素材を有効利用するために、回収後の製品解体を容易にするデザインや製 造方法の開発やリマーキングも行っている。例えば、分別を容易にするためプラスチック 素材などは最小限の利用にとどめているほか、使い捨てパッケージを辞めて、再利用可能 なものへと切り替えている。(

優良証明（Proven Excellence
）優良証明（Proven Excellence）の一環として、医療機器の再生利用を行っている。再生シ ステム部門（Refurbished System Division）が、5段階にわたる厳密な審査を行っており、
その手順を下記に示す。

1：選別
製品の使用年数、仕様レベルの確認、状態、サービス歴、部品性能、ソフトウェアの 更新可能性、ハードウェアの状態、代替部品の

顧客のオフィス等で検査を実施し、トレーニングを受けた者が製品の取り外しを行う。
その後、元のパッケージに入れて、シーメンスの工場に搬送する。

3：製品再生
洗浄、殺菌、塗装のほか、部品の交換、部品や付随のシステムの検査を行う。最新の 物にできる限り近い状態にするためにソフトウェアのアップデート、システムの作動 検査を行う。基準を満たせば、Proven Excellence証書の発行を行う。

このほか、同社はハードウェア、ソフトウェアに関しても、回収・リサイクルを実施し ている。例えば、ドイツのパダーボルン（Paderborn）にあるリサイクリングセンターでは、

点が登録 されている。同マークを掲載することで、環境に優しい製品を提供する企業として、市場 で優位性を保てるという狙いもある。同マークの採用は、原則自主的なものとなっている。シーメンスのコンピューターも、同マークを表示している。136
④ 環境マネジメント
前述の「環境ミッション声明（Environmental Mission Statement）137にあるように、
シーメンスでは、社内でも、特に大量の物質やエネルギーを消費する部門に、公式の環境 マネジメントシステムを導入し、EMASとISO14001 準拠を徹底して行っている。EMASに 参加している施設でも、欧州域内に拠点を置く施設数は、10施設となっている。138
シーメンスは、この他、環境保護への対策で歩調を合わせるため、国際的にも専門知識 を交換し、共有することを奨励している。この一環として、自社職員をも対象にしたトレ ーニングやセミナーを開催して、環境ポリシーや解決策などに関する意見を交わしている。
特に、社内の人材・チームや、子会社を対象に環境コンペティションを

年おきに開催し ており、循環型製品や環境保護を目的とした製品、循環型製造過程・技術、環境マネジメ ントやコミュニケーション、および特別環境賞といった項目で表彰している。この他、環境情報システムのための世界的なデータベースも構築した。環境・技術安全 情報システム（Environmental and Technical Safety Information System／SESIS）により、公害 物質排出や廃棄物管理といった環境保護に関連する課題や危険物質の取り扱いなど技術の 安全性に関するデータを一貫して管理、報告できる。
