The development of any person s career goes on over the course of his lifetime. From this point of view, CDC s assistance is not limited to matching individuals and job opportunities but to help students build their appropriate career awareness and skill.
The word Career means internal and external development through experiencing jobs and playing various roles at the different career stages at the working place, home and communities.
CDC supports student awareness towards work through such activities as;
(1) Career Guidance and Counseling
In order to facilitate students career development CDC assists students in their career planning through both individual counseling and on and off campus guidance and seminar soon after their admission.
(2) Internship
Through the internship, students will come to realize the reality of work and may know how the organization functions and understand the importance of an ability to work together in a team.
Such experience will have a huge influence on his career selection and decisions.
An internship course at AIU is designated as an elective course for three (3) credits. Global Career Challenge (GCC) is a part of AIU s effort to help students set their own career goals and keep their motivations towards academic achievements higher. For detailed information on internship, please refer to the Internship Guideline.
＊Students need to register for the course to receive credits. They Register in the semester that they make the presentation of their Internship.
12-1. Career Development Center (CDC)
Career Development Center provides students with guidance on internship and job hunting as well as other relevant information on career that they wish to pursue after graduation.
(1) Service Hours
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
(2) Career Support Information
CDC provides timely information for the job search process to students as follows:
a) Files of a company s profile including its recruitment information.
b) Interviews File for the companies
There are a lot of company files which CDC s staff has actually visited and talked with Human Resource staff.
c) Information on Internship
There are also alumni s reports of their internship.
(Only the files of the alumni who agree to disclose information can be accessed.) d) CDC Library Collection
Books related to career design, economic magazines, guide books for job interviews/SPI., etc. are available to read.
e) Photocopying
Materials in the CDC s library can be copied within the limits of the copyright law for the purpose of study and research.

人の生涯にわたる発達という視点から、単なる就職や進路相談を越えて学生のキャリア意識形成をサポー トします。（キャリアは仕事を中心として家庭や地域社会等における様々な発達課題や役割を含みます）本 学におけるその具体的な推進内容は次の二つです。
(1) キャリアガイダンス＆カウンセリング
個人のキャリア発達を促す観点から、全体で行うキャリアガイダンスや個別のキャリアカウンセリング を入学の時点から進めていきます。学生は、キャリアは単なる就職探しではないことを理解するでしょう。
(2) インターンシップ
本学では「企業等体験実習(インターンシップ)」を奨励しています。学生は、在学中に各種企業や団体 等において、インターンとして就業体験をすることができます。本学では、この取り組みを「Global Career Challenge（GCC）」と呼び、卒業後の進路について具体的な目標や意識を持って学んでいけるよ う支援していきます。（選択3単位）
インターンシップに関しては、別途配布する「インターンシップ・ガイドライン」に詳細が記載されてい ます。
（注）インターンシッププレゼンを実施するセメスターに履修登録が必ず必要となります。

キャリア開発センターでは、インターンシップや就職、進学に関することなど卒業後の進路選択に関わる 全般の相談業務を行います。

As a part of job-hunting support of Career Development Center, various kinds of seminars. It includes Company Presentations on campus by domestic and foreign companies, which play a very important role for the decision of AIU student s job after graduation.
Through the seminar, the staff of the recruitment section from each company introduces the mission and competence of the company , the trend of the industry , human recourses required for the company and so on.
