特別アドバイジングケア(Special Advising Care:SAC)システム

本学では、健全な学業成績は累積GPAが2.00以上であることが求められます。留学を申請するためには 累積GPAが2.50以上であることと、TOEFL ITP^ⓇTEST550点相当以上であることが要求されています。

下記のいずれかに該当する学生は特別アドバイジングケアの対象と位置づけられ、アドバイザーと面談す ることが義務付けられます。

(1) 累積GPAが2.00を下回った場合

(2) 留学申請する前の段階においては累積GPAが2.50を下回った場合

(3) 60単位以上（EAPを含めて）修得しているが、TOEFL ITP^ⓇTEST550点相当に達していない場合 (4) EAPⅠで２回又はEAPⅡで２回Fとなった場合

(5) 同じ必修科目で2回Ｆとなった場合

(EAP 104、EAP 105、EAP 106及びBRI 150については、２回D+以下となった場合) 4-1. 学業改善を目的とする計画書の作成

SACの対象となった学生は、学業を改善するため、アドバイザーの指導のもとに次の事項を含む計画書を 作成します。

（1）成績に悪影響を与えている要因について

（2）学業を改善するための計画

●可能な限り早急に再履修すべき科目（GPAが低い場合）と、いつそれらの科目を再履修するかの計画

●各学期の最大履修単位数の制限

●「アカデミック・アチーブメントセンター」等の活用など具体的な学習支援策

●時間管理、課外活動などの変更

●カウンセラーのアドバイスに基づく行動計画 など 4-2. アドバイザーとの面談

学生は毎月最低１回はアドバイザーと面接し、計画の進捗状況について報告しなければなりません。計画 を実行し、学業成績が向上して、GPAやTOEFL^ⓇTEST、進級における問題が解消されれば次の学期はSAC の対象から外れます。

4-3. 学業経過観察期間（プロべーション）

同じ必修科目で２回Ｆ評価を受けた、又は２学期連続して特別アドバイジングケアの対象となった場合は、

学生は学業経過観察期間（プロべーション）に入ることとなり、直ちに状況が保護者又は保証人に報告され ます。

プロべーションの期間は１学期間です。この期間中もSACと同様に、学業改善のための計画書を作成し、

アドバイザーとの定期的な面談を行います。プロべーションになった学期中に学業の改善があれば、次の学 期はSACに戻ることができます。

4-4. 休学勧告

プロべーションになった学期中に学業の改善が見られない場合、大学は１学期の休学を勧告します。これ は学生が大学と授業を一時離れて、自分の生活、学業や将来の進路について再考してもらうためです。

4-5. Returning to the university

After returning to the university,  the student will be placed again on Probation.  The student must develop his/her improvement plan and report/consult with his/her advisor regularly.  At the end of the semester in which student returned,  if the student s academic situation is improved,  then the student will be reinstated in the SAC Status.  If the academic problems are resolved,  then the student will be moved out of the SAC Status.

4-6. Recommendation of Withdrawal

If after second Probation,  student is not able to be reinstated in SAC Status or to come back to good standing,  student will be asked to consider withdrawal from the university.  The  decisions  of recommendations of Long Absence and Withdrawal are  made by the President after  consultation with  Academic  Affairs  Executive  Committee.  At the meeting with the student who is asked to consider withdrawal from the university, he/she should be advised on the alternatives for his or her further education and on employment opportunities.

上記の休学期間が終わって復学した場合、最初の１学期間は再度プロべーション期間です。学生は計画書 を作成し、実行するとともに、アドバイザーと定期的に面談して指導を受けます。復学した１学期中に学業 成績が改善した場合、次の学期はSACに戻り、その後問題がすべて解消すればSACの対象からも外れます。

4-6. 退学勧告

２回目のプロべーションが終わった後の学期にも、SACに戻るような改善状況が見られない場合は、大学 は退学を勧告します。休学勧告、退学勧告は、教育研究会議の意見をうけて学長が決定します。退学勧告に 際し、大学は学生の他の進路や就職についての相談に応じます。
