４. 教職課程について
本学教職課程では、高等学校教諭一種免許状（英語）を取得することができます。
4-1 教職課程科目の履修を開始する際に
免許状の取得を希望する学生は、教職課程に属する科目の履修を開始したい学期の履修登録期間に、教職 課程履修届を提出してください。免許状取得までのスケジュールは、卒業要件の単位修得状況、教職課程科 目の単位修得状況、留学の時期などにより異なります。免許状取得の要件を満たすためには、各自で履修計 画を立てることが求められます。
履修状況ならびに単位修得状況は、定期的に「履修カルテ①」、「履修カルテ②」に記録してください。個 別の事情が生じた場合には、教職課程専任教員に相談してください。

4-3. Teaching Practice
TLP310 Teaching Practice is a requirement of TLP and, in principle, shall be conducted at the high school from which a student graduated, or in special circumstances, may be at a high school in Akita prefecture assigned to the student by the university. In addition to the on-site teaching practice, a students must receive Pre-and Post-guidance and submit a report after completing their Teaching Practice.
Teaching Practice is available for the students who registered for TLP, submitted their application and attended the Guidance given in April one year before. Participants in Teaching Practice are required to make a formal request to the high school for teaching practice at the latest one year before implementation, by following the required procedures set by each high school. Once the request to the designated high school is made, a student must be aware that, in principle, its request cannot be changed or cancelled. Please be advised to register TLP310 Teaching Practice in the spring semester of the academic year when teaching practice is planned to be conducted.
For the registration of TLP, students must satisfy the following requirements:
① Have taken 33 credits or more from English Subjects .
② Expect to take 21 credits from Educational Subjects excluding TLP330 Seminar in Teaching Practice and TLP310 Teaching Practice.
③ Have attended Pre-Teaching Practice Guidance and completed all required tasks.
Those not having satisfied the above requirements will be judged on their suitability for the Teaching Practice by the TLP Executive Council.

4-3 教育実習
「教育実習」(TLP310)は、「事前指導」、「高等学校での実習」、「事後指導」を含めた計３単位の科目です。
原則として、教育実習は、出身の高等学校に受け入れをお願いして行います。特別な事情がある場合には、
秋田県内の高等学校に受け入れをお願いして行うこともあります。実施の１年前には実習受け入れ依頼を完 了させておくことが一般的です。しかし、その時期が留学期間と重なる場合には、教育実習実施２年前、つ まり留学前にこれらの手続きを完了させておくことが必要です。手続きは、個々の高等学校によって異なり ますので、その指示に従ってください。また、教育実習は、高等学校の協力を得て実施するものですので、
受入をお願いした後の変更は、原則認められません。また、履修登録については、実習実施時期に関わらず、
実施年度の春学期に履修登録を忘れずに行って下さい。
「教育実習」の履修には、下記の条件を満たすことが必要です。
①「教科に関する科目」のうち、原則として33単位以上を修得していること。
②「教職に関する科目」のうち、「教職実践演習」を除く21単位を修得見込であること。
③ 事前指導を終えていること。
もし、以上の条件を満たしていない場合は、「教職課程運営委員会」での審議によって、「教育実習」の履 修の可否を判断します。

4-4 Teacher Employment Examinations in Japan and Application for Teacher's Certificate Teacher Employment Examinations are conducted by the Board of Education in each prefecture or by private schools in Japan. The schedule and the content on the examination differs among prefectures.

*When you wish to graduate
Students wishing to earn a teacher's certificate must submit an Application Form for Teacher's Certificate along with your Graduation Request Form during the designated period to the Division of Students Records. Students are responsible for checking if the requirements for licensure are satisfied.
*Awarding of Teacher's Certificates
On students' behalf, AIU will apply for awarding of teacher's certificates to Akita Prefecture Board of Education. The certificate will be awarded on the day of Graduation. Information on the application procedure will be announced to the applicants via e-mail from the Division of Academic Affairs.
4-5. Grades of TLP courses
Grades of the courses in Educational Subjects starting with TLP are evaluated on a P/F basis and are not included in the calculation of GPA. They are not applicable for graduation requirements, study abroad requirements, or for the progress of special non-degree seeking students.
Grades of other TLP courses except the courses starting with TLP are given in the same way as other courses on A+〜F basis.
Students who successfully complete TLP310 will not need to take INT200 Internship in Business, one of the required courses for graduation under 2004 curriculum. For 2008 curriculum, TLP310 may be included in the total 124 credits required for graduation.
