9.7.2 Duty of designers and/or manufacturers of machineries in relation to the occupational safety and health of operators of machineries

9.7.3 Duty of designers, manufacturers, importers or suppliers of machineries to provide machineries information
Summary / Citation: The manufacturer or importer or supplier is obliged to mark the machine in a visible and legible manner. The label must include at least the following: CE marking, batch and machine type, serial number, year of construction (year of completion of the manufacturing process of the machine). Furthermore, special labeling is required for equipment used in explosive atmospheres. The machine should be equipped with instruction. If the instruction is in the language of the manufacturer and the machine is operated in another country, the manual should be translated accordingly.

9.7.5 Maintenance of machinery and equipment
Summary / Citation: Machines and other technical devices shall meet the requirements of health and safety throughout their lifecycle. If the safe use of the machine depends on the conditions in which it is installed, the employer is required to pre-screen it. Control of the machines shall be carried out by the qualified personnel.
