2-1 Period of stay
The following 11 periods of stay are possible: 15 days, 30 days, 90 days, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 1 year and 3 months, 2 years, 2 years and 3 months, 3 years and 5 years, and permission can also be granted monthly for the necessary period of time to leave the country. In the event that the stay exceeds this period, extension of period of stay is necessary.

2-2 Extension of period of stay
If you want to extend your period of stay continuing the same activities, you must carry out the procedures for extension of period of stay. Applications can be made prior to the expiry of your period of stay (from about 3 months prior to expiry for people whose period of stay is 6 months or more.
