Senpai Kouhai Kankei: Relationship between seniors and juniors
In Japan, people put an emphasis on hierarchical relationships. Kohai( junior students) are required to show respect to Senpai (senior students). It is regarded more important when they meet with a Sensei (instructor). The reason for this relationship is that they respect those who have more experience.
