表紙図の説明：
描かれた植物は，ユリ科バイモ属コシノコバイモで，山形県から石川県の日本海側とまれに岐阜県，愛知県，
静岡県にも分布する。北陸では産地も個体数も多く，他地域と比べ大形である。本学会が金沢で生まれ北陸を 中心に発展してきたことから，この北陸の植物を表紙に使用した。図は梅林正芳氏が描いたもの。
