論 文 内 容 の 要 旨
Until now, city plans, essentially focused on ecological approaches, have resulted insufficient for assessing all components of chinampa; particularly the agricultural one which is crucial to keep chinampa attributes, for instance ahuejote. On the other hand, the interest in investigating chinampa changes has behind comprehensive conservation planning for such space. In this situation, there is the necessity of explore other approaches to assess chinampa landscape and provide parameters that help to development better planning accordingly the chinampa as a World Heritage site.
The objective of this study is to investigate the potential conditions to conserve ahuejote as a key heritage landscape element in chinampas. The study approaches ahuejote as a heritage tree in a cultural landscape associated with agriculture and企omheritage integrity. The study bases on the landscape characterization and the establishment of planning parameters, historically and ecologically, associated with chinampa through assessing the existing conditions on water resources, agriculture diversity and land occupation.
This thesis is organized in six chapters as describe below (See Fig.‑9b) Chapter One: Background and literature review
Chapter begins with the definition of chinampa and the varying connotations that it has in the academic literature. The chapter ends outlining the importance of this study in the academic literature.

Chapter Five: Potential sites for the conservation of ahu可ote
Chapter five contains the planning requirements for the conservation management of ahuejote in chinampa, using as reference the results of chapter 4.
The study has investigated the potential conditions to conserve ahu可oteas a key landscape element of chinampa based on the establishment of planning parameters and the characterization of chinampas. The results showed that ahu可otestill continues as a key heritage landscape element in 36.36 % of chinampas in the rural area of study site. The need of protecting canal network and traditional agriculture was addressed to significantly conserve ahuejote.
