The University of Adelaide (through its Faculty of Health Sciences), the University of Freiburg Faculty of Medicine, and Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine and School of Medicine herein conclude this Memorandum in order to further promote collaboration between the institutions in the sphere of medicine.
1. Collaboration between the three parties may include such activities as:
a) Exchange of medical students
b) Special short-term programs for students
c) Joint Supervision Program of doctoral candidates
d) Joint research activities, including seminars, conferences and public lectures
e) Exchange of publications, academic material, and other research information
2. Specific programs or activities will be undertaken under this Memorandum only after the written agreement of all relevant parties. The terms and conditions of the program or activity, including any financial arrangements, shall be set out in a written agreement signed by an authorised representative of each relevant party.
3. Each party shall designate a liaison office for this Memorandum.
For the University of Adelaide, the office shall be the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International)
For the University of Freiburg Faculty of Medicine, the liaison office shall be Academic Dean s Office
For the Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine and School of Medicine, the liaison office shall be Office of International Affairs
5. This Memorandum comes into effect when it has been signed by all parties. It will remain in effect for a period of 5 years from that date. Not less than six months prior to its expiry, the parties will review its operation and decide whether or not to renew it. Any such renewal shall be signed by an authorised representative of each party, and may include variations to this Memorandum.
6. This Memorandum may be terminated by the written mutual consent of all parties, or by any party giving 60 days written notice to the other parties.
