Asahi University respects the meanings of the Fundamental Law of Education and the School Education Law, and aims at the following targets in accordance with the provisions of the Laws.
1) Doing educational research on the theory and application of general education, special arts, and sciences, and fostering human resources with intellectual and moral culture.
2) In quest of knowledge widely all over the world, aiming at international exchanges of education and scientifi c research and attaining the purpose of advanced education, thus making improvements in arts, sciences, and culture and contributing to the development of society.

Th anks to the dramatic development of science

随着社会的产业化，信息化的高速发展，人类的生 活模式和价值观念也发生了激烈的变化。与此同 时，在追求科学技术健全发展的过程中，也要警惕 科学的片面独行。为建设弘扬人类的普遍理念的 发展人性，确立自我，尊重人权与自由的和谐的国 际未来社会，需要培养崭新的人际知性。本学の教育理念は、建学の精神に基づき社会性、創 造性、人間的知性に富む人材の育成にあります。法 学部、経営学部、保健医療学部、歯学部を核とし、大 学院法学研究科、大学院経営学研究科、大学院歯 学研究科、そして留学生別科日本語研修課程にお いて、時代のニーズに即した専門的かつ実践的な 教育を行っています。また、学生個々の知識と行動 力を高めることで、国際未来社会に貢献し得る人材 の育成につとめています。 1971年の創立以来、これまで米国UCLA、北京大 学をはじめ世界の19大学と協定を結び、教育・研 究、そして学生間の交流を活発に行っています。ま た外国人留学生の受け入れ、 大学間の交換留学及 び教員の海外派遣・受け入れ、さらには各国の駐日 大使館との交流を積極的に展開することで、より一 層国際化された大学づくりを推し進めています。こ の２∼３年を振り返りましても、中華人民共和国駐 名古屋総領事や駐日南アフリカ共和国大使が来学 されました。 この10年間、歯学部においては優れた歯科医師を 育成する体系的な教育課程を編成し、卒業直後の 臨床研修、そして生涯研修へとつながる「臨床に強 い歯科医師の育成」につとめています。法学部、経 営学部においては学生の将来への夢、ニーズに合っ た教育へと転換することで教育力が向上しました。 その結果、高い就職率を維持するとともに、新司法 試験合格者を輩出することができました。経営学部 会計学分野においては地域の高等学校との連携に 基づき3+4年の中で実務家による徹底した教育を 行った結果、スタートから６年間で21名の学生が最 難関の公認会計士試験の合格を手にしました。保 健医療学部看護学科では、JR岐阜駅前に381床の 朝日大学病院を有するという強みを生かし、急性期 医療の現場に直結した教育を行い、卒業後も安心し て就労し続ける環境を提供しています。 朝日大学が有する医学・歯科医学・看護学といった 医療系の資源と従来の体育学とを融合させた保健 医療学部健康スポーツ科学科を開設しました。これ まで展開してきた朝日大学体育会と併せて、スポー ツ活動にも引き続き全学をあげて支援してまいりま す。2012年のロンドン五輪には初めて本学体育会 の卒業生の中山セイラさんがフェンシング競技に出 場し、感動を与えてくれました。同年に行われた「ぎ ふ清流国体」には朝日大学の多くの学生・卒業生・ 教職員が競技者として、また運営スタッフやボラン ティアとして参画し、大会の原動力となりました。一 方、地域社会との接点を拡充することを目的として 学内に設置した総合型地域スポーツクラブ「ぎふ瑞 穂スポーツガーデン」からは、金藤理絵さんが2016 年開催のリオデジャネイロ五輪で見事金メダルを 獲得しました。こういった活動を通じて、来る2020 年の東京オリンピックに向けたトップアスリートの 育成、ならびに開かれた生涯スポーツ振興の場とし て岐阜県スポーツ界の発展に寄与してまいります。 私たち朝日大学は来る2021年に創立50周年を迎 えます。常に地域社会の先導者となるべく研鑚を積 み、常に皆さんと共に歩んでまいります。
Education Philosophy
本校的教育理念是 ：遵循建校宗旨培养富有社会 性、创造性和知性的人才。我校本科教育阶段设有 法学院、经营管理学院、保健医疗学院、口腔医学 院，研究生院设有法学研究科、经营管理学研究 科、口腔医学研究科。另外，还开设了留学生别科 日语研修课程。各院系所授课程都注重适应时代 要求，注重专业性与实践性相结合。通过提高学生 的知识水平和实践能力，培养能为未来国际社会 做贡献的有用之才。 自 1971年建校以来，本校已与美国加利福尼亚大 学洛杉矶分校、北京大学等国外 19所大学缔结了 交流协议，积极开展教育、科研、以及学生交流活 动。此外，还招收外国留学生，与国外大学开展交 换留学及接受国外教师来校任教，向国外大学派 遣教师。同时，本校还积极与各国驻日使馆开展交 流活动，为创建更高层次的国际化大学而不断努 力。过去的两、三年里，就有中华人民共和国驻名 古屋总领事、南非共和国驻日大使来我校讲学。 近十年来，口腔医学院编订了旨在培养优秀口腔 科医生的系统教育课程，致力于培养“擅长临床工 作的口腔医生”，这对刚毕业后的学生进行临床实 践将有所帮助，也有利于学生今后的终生学习研 修。在法学院和经营管理学院，由于推行了适合学 生的理想和需求的教育方法，教育质量大幅提高。 不但维持了较高的就业率，还不断有学生通过新 司法考试。在会计学领域，我们与所在地区的高中 合作，构建了在 3+4年的时间里完全由具有实践经 验的专业人士执教的教学环境，项目启动六年以 来，已经有 21名学生通过了高难度的会计师资格 考试。在保健医疗学院的护理系，我们充分发挥位 于 JR 岐阜车站附近的朝日大学医院拥有 381张床 位的优势，实施与应急医疗实践相结合的教育课 程，为学生提供毕业后能安心就业的环境。 朝日大学将本校的医学、口腔医学、护理学等医疗 系资源与传统体育运动学统合于一体，开设了保 健医疗学院健康运动科学科。学校将全力支持新 学科和朝日大学体育协会并一如既往地积极推进 各项体育运动的开展。2012年伦敦奥运会时，毕 业于本校体育协会的中山 seira 同学作为日本国家 击剑队队员出场比赛，给我们带来了莫大的感动。 同年，在以河流清澈而闻名的岐阜县举行了“岐阜 全国运动会”。在全运会上，很多来自朝日大学的 学生、教职员工以及毕业生，作为运动员、工作人 员、志愿者，积极参与其中是岐阜全运会的中坚力 量。另外，为扩大与所在地域的交流，本校设立了 名为“岐阜瑞穗体育运动公园”的综合型地域体育 俱乐部，从这里走出的金藤理 同学在 2016年里 约热内卢奥运会上成功获得二百米蛙泳金牌。通 过这一系列活动，为 2020年东京奥运会培养优秀 的运动员并为终身体育运动提供发展平台，推进 岐阜县体育运动水平的提高。 2021年朝日大学将迎来建校 50周年。我们会不断 锐意进取，在地区社会发挥先导作用，与大家携手 共进。Th e educational philosophy of Asahi University
is to foster individuals who are rich in social awareness, creativity and knowledge, which is the core of the university’s foundation. Asahi
University consists of 4 schools; Th e School of
Law, Th e School of Business Administration,
Th e School of Health Sciences, and Th e School
of Dentistry. We also off er graduate education programs in Law, Business Administration, Dentistry, as well as a special Japanese Language and Culture Course for international students. Each school provides specialized and eff ective education that responds to the needs of the diverse and challenging global environment.
Th rough continuous education reform, Asahi
University strives to establish an education system that functions well in the international information society, and provides a system that develops individual potential and fosters individuals who have extensive knowledge in their fi eld and can take action and contribute to a better future for all.
Since 1971, Asahi University has been actively involved in promoting internationalization. To this end, we continue to strengthen exchange and cooperation with foreign embassies in Japan, and have recently received visits from the Chinese Consul General in Nagoya and the Ambassador to Japan of the Republic of South Africa. We also have active partnerships with 19 prestigious universities around the world, including UCLA and Peking University, where we have established cooperation in research, education, student exchange programs, faculty staff training and outsourcing.
In the past ten years, the Department of Dentistry has off ered a structured curriculum that fosters expert professionals in the fi eld of dentistry and we are committed to producing highly skilled clinical dentists by providing quality education that culminates with eff ective postgraduate clinical training and the desire for
ongoing self-improvement. Th e Department of
Law and the Department of Business Administration have enhanced the quality of education by off ering curricula that fulfi ll the students’ future goals and needs. Consequently, we have achieved a high graduate employment rate and a high number of successful students taking the new bar examination. In the fi eld of accounting, a close partnership with local high schools has resulted in the development of a comprehensive and well-structured educational environment that provides students with 3 years of preparatory study at high school and 4 years of specialized learning at university. As a result, we have succeeded in cultivating students with the right attitude and skill needed to pass the certifi ed public accountant examination before graduation. Since the founding of this program 6 years ago, 21 students in total have passed the
examination before graduation. Th e Department
of Nursing, School of Health Sciences, takes
excellent advantage of the university’s affi liated
hospital, Asahi University Hospital, a 381-bed
hospital located in front of JR Gifu Station. Th is
facility provides the students with an outlet for practical education that will enable students to acquire the real-world knowledge and skills that will be needed in the actual clinical practice of medical care for patients who experience sudden and life-threatening illnesses and conditions.
Th e growth of the university has continued with
the establishment of a new department, the Department of Health and Sport Sciences in the
School of Health Sciences. Th e new department
aims to foster individuals who will be able to work as dedicated and knowledgeable professionals in a future that is becoming more and more competitive and demanding, by committing all of our extensive knowledge and research gained from our medical, dentistry and nursing background to create a truly unique, creative and comprehensive experience for students enrolled in our physical education and sports science course. Along with the Asahi University Athletic Association, we continue to support sports activities. We have had a proud history of students and graduates challenging themselves and making great sporting achievements, including our alumni Ms. Seira Nakayama, who competed in the London Olympics in 2012 in the fencing competition. In the same year, the 67th National Sports Festival in Gifu (Gifu Seiryu Kokutai) was held, and many of our students, alumni and faculty members took part as competitors, staff , or
volunteers. Th eir participation became the prime
mover for the event. In addition, Ms. Rie Kaneto won a gold medal in the Rio 2016 Olympics. Ms. Kaneto is a member of the “Gifu Mizuho Sports Garden”, which was established on campus to support and contribute to the enhancement of the local sports clubs. As we look ahead, the university is off ering a training place for many young and aspiring athletes to prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Also, we continue to maintain our open space facility to promote life-long sport and fi tness.
Th rough these activities we are committed to
continuing to promote sport within Gifu and Japan.
In 2021, Asahi University will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding. As Asahi University continues our pursuit of knowledge, creativity and responsibility, we hope to see you at the head of the race, as leaders in your fi eld and leaders in the community.

法学部は、建学の精神を具現化するため、 （1）人間形成を尊重した教育 （2）法律学の基本科目を尊重した教育 （3）多様化した社会に対応する教育 を行うことを柱とし、裁判官、検察官、弁護士等の法 曹、国家・地方公務員のみならず、国際的視野を持 ち、多様化した社会に対応できるリーガルマインド を有する人材の育成を目指している。 大学の教育の基本は、人間形成であり、人間性の尊 重である。従って、本学部の教育課程においては、 法律学の専門知識を教授する専門教育に加え、社 会人として必要な知識・技能を身に付けるための教 育、幅広く深い教養を養うための教育を行うことで、 総合的な判断力を養い、豊かな人間性を涵養するよ う配慮している。 専門教育については、学生が自己のキャリアデザ インを明確にしつつ、4年間を通じて効果的な学習 を行っていくことができるよう、「公務員コース」及び 「企業法務コース」の2つのコースを設け、目指す進 路や資格に応じた計12パターンの履修モデルを用 意している。 いずれのコースにおいても、早い段階から、法学概論 や憲法、民法、刑法、商法、民事訴訟法、刑事訴訟法 からなる基本六法を徹底的に学修し、上級年次に進 むにつれて幅広い関連科目や応用科目、さらに資格 試験の対策科目等を学ぶよう授業科目を配置して いる。 そして、この教育目標の実現に向けて、コースのコー ディネーター、授業科目の担当教員、学生指導教員、 事務局、その他スタッフが連携を取って万全の指導 を行う体制を取っている。 さらに、教育、研究成果等を還元するため、学部内に 「法制研究所」を設置し、岐阜県弁護士会をはじめ 地域社会との連携を図っている。 To embody the philosophy that Asahi

Th e curriculum is designed to foster legal
professionals with the specialist skills and strong legal framework that will be essential for judges, prosecutors, attorneys-at-law, national and local government employees, and for those individuals with a legal mind and global view, who wish to serve within a diverse and internationalized society.

education, Th e School of Law off ers a wide
spectrum of subjects covering specialized law, ensuring a depth of understanding that will be required in the careers of the students’ futures. Our coordinated curriculum is designed not only to provide students with the knowledge and skill to make informed and fair judgments, but also to foster empathy for others.
Once students have reached the professional education stage, we off er two study paths: the
‘Civil Service Offi cial Course’ and the
‘Corporate Legal Work Course’. Tailored specifi cally to impart the knowledge and skills that are required for each of these career pathways, students also acquire a clear and motivating view of their future careers that drives them to excel and succeed. Additional personalization and customization is off ered through our twelve patterns of course models that enable further specialization related to individual career paths and qualifi cation/license objectives.
Both courses off er a comprehensive and contemporary introduction to the foundation principles of law, including: constitutional law, civil law, criminal law, commercial law, and a preparatory investigation of civil and criminal procedures. Our senior students will later go on to explore the specifi cs of law in greater depth with the support of our committed and experienced academic staff .
Furthermore, students can take practical classes to prepare themselves eff ectively for various license examinations.
To achieve this, course coordinators, class instructors, student advising instructors, faculties and all other staff work together to guide, support and provide the best learning environment.
Moreover, we have bolstered the eff ectiveness and contribution of the department by establishing the Legislation Research Institute, with the objective of sharing the results of education and research with the local community, including the Gifu Prefecture Bar Association.

Although “Management” is often thought of as the organization and coordination of activities to achieve specifi c goals, in reality and practice, management is the continuous leadership and inspiration of people. Within any type of organization, whether it is a family home, a club, a company, or the local community, the same knowledge and methods of management can be used eff ectively. History and experience has shown time and again that eff ective management method can eff ective positive change in people’s lives. Many local communities, including Gifu, have proud histories of great business managers
contributing signifi cantly to the development of not only their company, but also to the community around them. Such successful and infl uential individuals have led by example, adapting their management methods for both the needs of the people inside their companies, and also for the needs of the natural
environment, the political situation and changes in society.
To foster individuals who have an ability to be such eff ectual and infl uential managers of a local community, we provide basic courses for students to develop and maintain a big picture view of management, the state of the local and global economy, key economic data, and of course, the relationship with society. Once this foundation outlook and know-how has been developed, our students refi ne and customize their skills by acquiring specialized and enduring knowledge that will enable them to be eff ective regardless of the challenges of an ever changing, increasingly globalized, and rapidly automated world. Students will choose one course from the following three courses: “Marketing Course”, “Accounting and Finance course”, and “Global Commerce Course”. By engaging in discussions of theory and principle, and learning from a variety of hands-on training, each student will become aware of their specifi c goals and motivations. In addition, through such dynamic and interactive courses, students will learn and acquire the skill and confi dence to act independently and think logically.
In School of Business Administration, fi rst year students will acquire a strong foundation of key business economics from logical and well-structured instruction and coaching. Students will then choose one course from the following three courses and advance their expertise through practical methods.
Marketing Course: to understand consumer psychology and area characteristics, and actively learn from real business experience. Arguably, the leading factor in the worldwide economic stagnation of the 21st century is that despite the increase and spread of
communication systems, the rapid growth of social and individual diversity has created increasing challenges in understanding people’s needs. Likewise, even though technical advancements in the fi eld of automation and robotics continues to cause debate between
effi ciency and employment of labor, there is no
question that there will be a demand for people who can see above and below the surface data to
truly understand the consumer. Th is course is
designed to foster individuals whose goal is to be a professional who can perceive and recognize underlying trends and attitudes, and use that skill to develop products that refl ect specifi c area characteristics and introduce IT products by using a design-oriented thinking process.
Accounting and Finance Course: to gain the knowledge, skill and confi dence needed to pass
one of the most diffi cult examinations – the
examination to become a certifi ed specialist, such as an accounting professional.
Despite its pitfalls, having a system of money and currency has been a key motivating and driving factor for the world’s growth, and we have challenged ourselves to make our life
better and have made great progress. Th is
fi nancial drive continues and it is the road
towards the future. Th is course is designed to
foster individuals whose goal is to be an accounting and fi nancial professional who can accurately comprehend and integrate company information to establish an eff ective measure of confi dence and trust for businesses, and to systematically and eff ectively manage funds that will allow managers and leaders to have the confi dence to invest in the positive growth and development of local and global societies.

Global Commerce Course: to acquire the essential skills – such as development of language skills that enhances eff ective communication, or the necessary qualifi cations – such as becoming registered customs specialists in the fi eld of international distribution, and to also learn practical skills and confi dence through the hands-on experience in our industry-university collaboration program.

Th e Department of Business Planning has
introduced a new style of education, in which experienced instructors teach and guide the students. Students learn the three important skills: communication, reliability as a member of a team, and personal computer skills, all of which are indispensable to playing an important role in any company. Some of our full time instructors have real-life experience in business administration at a top level,
performing a multitude of varying roles in industries such as manufacturing, credit institutions, venture companies, consulting fi rms and more.
Th e fi rst year focuses on building up a basic
knowledge of business administration through core subjects and examining real-world examples through practical and active learning, with a fi nal outcome of students being able to decide the future direction of their study. By off ering a study of theoretical concepts related to the fi eld in which students are interested, we foster individuals who have the ability to analyze and deal eff ectively with problems they will face in managing a business. Supported by their faculties’ guidance, the foundation philosophy of Asahi University, students will actively determine their fi elds of study: sports management, IT utilization in a local area, and product development.
Th e sports management course fosters
individuals who can assess a situation proactively with the right know-how and confi dence to select the best course of action to deal with the kinds of common and uncommon
challenges facing businesses of today. Th is
contemporary and progressive course focuses on applying real sport experience, including obstacles to achieving an eff ective and positive team with a consistent and reliable high performance, and applying it to achieving a unique and eff ective perspective of business analysis and problem solving.
Th e IT utilization in a local area course is for
individuals driven by a desire to better their local community by starting a new business that stimulates and enhances local businesses through the eff ective application of information technology. We off er the students the chance to learn about various business potentials in all the sectors of the economy.
Th e product development course fosters
individuals who have the innovation, drive and know-how to develop new and advantageous products or services that can contribute to the betterment of people’s lives and the society as a whole.
