日本のベートーベンがベオグラード市民のために日本の著名なピアニストであるイングリ ト・フジコ・ヘミング氏がベオグラードのコララツ音楽堂でコンサートを行った。このコンサ ートは、ニューヨーク、東京、ベルリン、パリを含む世界ツアーの一部として開かれ、在セル ビア日本大使館とともにＪＴＩがスポンサーとして行われた。観客は黒木大使により出迎えら れた。フジコ・ヘミング氏は若い頃に聴力を失ったが、それでも音楽の才能を開花し続けた。 そのため、彼女は「日本のベートーベン」と呼ばれている。観客の中には外交団が多く、イタ リアの大使であるマンゾ夫妻も参加し、コンサートを満喫していた。
Ingrid Fuzjko Hemming, famous Japanese pianist, performed in Kolarac foundation in Belgrade as a part of world tour during which she visited New York, Tokyo, Berlin and Paris. Concert was sponsored by the company “Japan Tobacco International” and was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Belgrade. Guests were greeted by the Ambassador Masafumi Kuroki. Fuzjko Hemming lost her hearing in early youth but that didn’t stop her from develop her talent for music, for which she was often called the Japanese Beethoven. Among the many guests from diplomatic core, Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Manzo and his wife Alma enjoyed the concert.

Ingrid Fuzjko Hemming lost hear hearing when very young, partially regaining it later in life. Her energy and talent, according to the critics, gives classical music a new dimension. Hemming believes that it is because people can her her thorny life path through her notes. While performing in many concerts, she published 15 albums of which 4 received “Classical music album of the year” award in Japan. Fuzjko came to Belgrade with the sponsorship of “Japan Tobacco International” and in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Belgrade. Renowned pianist will perform tomorrow in Senta.

Her 50 year long career was marked by the famous performance of Liszt’s “La Campanella”, sold in more than 2 million copies and by many concerts in all important halls in New York, London, Paris, Vienna...
“Liszt was always a big inspiration for me. His compositions are gentle but at the same time sarcastic, which is a great temptation for any pianist. For Belgrade audience I will play four Liszt’s compositions, I think you will recognize his genius from my piano’s music. Many have told me that I was born to play Liszt’ and that enforced an obligation for me to discover and present his work.”
In the period between 17 and 28 years you lost your hearing almost completely. How did you managed to make world career with such handicap?
“I was persistent to work with music, despite being deaf. I lived bravely with the handicap and suffered much in my life. If I could choose again, I would live some other life. I was fortunate to have God’s protection in achieving my ambitions. I simply did not wanted to quit music and in time, I started to feel the piano. I only had the problem when somebody wanted to tell me something and I could not honor such request because I couldn’t hear.”
When did you realised that people all over the world like your music?
“Only now, at the end. In youth, I did not had enough self-esteem although people told me I play very well and that they love to hear me play. In Germany, I lived in a small town, teaching piano and living with several cats in the apartment. Their calmness felt good. I believed that there are many much better pianists than me but today, after a few decades, I know that I am special and that I have defeated my handicap. Many have heard my music. Money I earn across the globe I give to the associations for animal protection and UNICEF.”
This is your first time in Belgrade. Has something caught your eye?
“While I was living in Germany people told me that Yugoslav women are the prettiest in the world. In Belgrade I could see what they meant”.

CD was sold in more than two million copies, a phenomenon in the world of classical music. While performing in many concerts, she published 15 albums of which 4 received “Classical music album of the year” award in Japan, for the first time in history.

Proud of its Japanese roots, JTI every year presents to Serbian audience parts of Japanese culture and tradition. So far, Gocco drummers, Wariki group, Mineo Hayasi and many others performed in Serbia.
