(2) Communication supporting system, which makes users feel gaps in manipulation Naoyuki Komuro. School of Knowledge Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology March 2009 Keywords: human computer interaction, avatar communication, computer augmented environments, agent, user interface In these years, the time has been becoming that people can communicate whenever, wherever and with whomever by the sake of development of ubiquitous environment. Due to easy communicating, physical and temporal loads and psychological barriers of users have been decreasing. While, the opportunities of face to face communication have been decreasing and people relatively have becoming to feel mental burden such as concerns and troubles more. As a result, now and here, people might be robbed of their activeness to communicate with someone in front of them. In this research, to this background, author proposes a system aimed at making a trigger of little communication in the practical face to face meeting. This system is intended to make a trigger of one word talking of users through experience and to make a change to existing relation such as relieving the existing sour relation and making a new relation. In addition, proposed systems are interaction model which makes users feel gap in manipulation and dog-walking communication model. To assess developed system, questionnaire and observation experiments were conducted. As a result, it is confirmed that the system is effective to make a trigger of communication. Moreover, it is shows that it is effective with a certain level to sustain communication.. 1.
