論文題名：アイスホッケー選手の競技力向上に向けた 精神生理学的アプローチについて

背景
昨今，世界レベルの競技場面においては，技術面や体力面の強化以上に実力を発揮する ための心理面の強化が重要視されてきている．しかしながら，心理面を強化するメンタル トレーニング(Mental Training：MT)の有用性については，効果を客観的に評価する指標が 未だ定まっていない．また，パフォーマンスとの関連を説明できる心理的・生理的指標に 関しては未だ明らかではないことから，競技やポジションの特徴に応じた効果的なMTは 実施されてきていない．
目的
アイスホッケー競技およびポジションに特化した MT プログラムの開発に必要なエビデ ンスを得るために，アイスホッケー競技のパフォーマンス向上に必要なメンタルスキルの1 つであるセルフトーク(Self-Talk : ST) の有用性と，パフォーマンスと密接に係っている認知 スキルの特徴について，脳波を用いた精神生理学的な観点から明らかにすることを目的と した．
方法
研究課題1では，STの即時的な効果について，脳波(Electroencephalogram : EEG)を用い た精神生理学的な観点から明らかにした．
研究課題2では，アイスホッケー選手を対象に，2ヶ月間のSTによる介入を行い，経時 的な効果について，心理的競技能力検査(DIPCA.3)およびST使用頻度調査，内省報告によ り明らかにした．
研究課題3では，アイスホッケー選手の認知スキルの特徴について，メンタルローテー ション課題を用いて脳波による精神生理学的観点から明らかにした．研究課題3-1におい ては，生理指標であるRotation‒related negativity（RRN）を導出し，その振幅と課題難易度 別の正答率や反応時間との対応関係について検証し，研究課題3-2においては，随伴性陰 性変動(Contingent negative variation : CNV)を導出し，その振幅と課題の前半および後半にお ける正答率や反応時間との対応関係について検証した．
研究課題4では，アイスホッケー選手の認知スキルの特徴について，サビタイジング課 題を用いて，事象関連電位（event-related brain potentials : ERP）と正答率や反応時間との対 応関係について検証した.
結果
研究課題1では，ポジティブなSTの使用が，脳活動の活性化に効果的であり，パフォ ーマンスの発揮につながる可能性を，生理指標である脳波によって客観的に明らかにし た．
研究課題2では，ポジティブなSTを用いた介入により，STの内容が改善され，心理的 競技能力の向上がみられたことから，アイスホッケー競技における心理面の強化に有効な 技法であることが示された．
研究課題3では，研究課題3-1の課題難易度別および研究課題3-2の時間の効果別のいずれ においても，アイスホッケー選手は正確性よりも速さを優先することが示された．一方で，
ゴールキーパーのみ速さを優先させながら正確性も重視している傾向がみられた．
研究課題4では，コントロール群と比較して，アイスホッケー選手が課題に対する反応 時間が短いことが示唆された．また，ゴールキーパーのみシルエットの多い試行時の正答 率が高い傾向が示された．
結論
本研究では，アイスホッケー選手におけるSTの有用性および認知スキルの特徴につい て，精神生理学的な観点から明らかにした．さらに，認知的側面からポジションごとに求 められるパフォーマンスの特徴について，生理指標である脳波を用いて客観的に明らかに した．本研究結果に基づき，種目ごとのMTプログラムを開発する上での重要なエビデン スを提供することができた．
Abstract of Doctoral Thesis
Title ： A psychophysiological approach for improving the competitive skills of ice hockey players

Introduction
To date，the usefulness of mental training (MT) has only been evaluated objectively，no fixed indicators exist for objective evaluation，and the relationship between psychological
strengthening and performance is unclear.
Purpose
(1) To clarify the effect and mechanism of self-talk (ST).
(2) To clarify the cognitive characteristics of ice hockey athletes.
Study Methods
1: Examine the psychophysiological effects of ST.
2: Examine the effectiveness of ST on ice hockey athletes’ competition performance.
3: Determine the underlying cognitive processes in ice hockey athletes during a mental rotation task by using 1) rotation-related negativity and 2) contingent negative variation.
4: Clarify the subitizing performance of ice hockey athletes and how it differs by their position by using the N2 and P3 event-related potential (ERP) components.
Study Results
1: The findings suggest that the use of positive ST may improve task performance．Furthermore，
the effect of MT techniques such as ST could be evaluated more objectively in this study than in previous studies because of using electroencephalography．
2: The findings suggest that the use of positive ST improves psychological skill and enhances the performance of ice hockey players，thereby providing evidence for the positive effects of using ST on ice hockey players’ cognition.
3: Ice hockey players responded less accurately but faster than did those in the control group，
suggesting that the cognitive skills of ice hockey players can be assessed by using the task performance of and psychophysiological response to mental rotation.
4: Ice hockey players had faster subitizing than did non-athlete controls．Accuracy among the ice hockey players was higher in trials with a greater number of silhouettes，especially among goalkeepers.
Conclusions
We clarified，from a psychophysiological perspective，the grasp cognitive characteristics and influence of MT techniques such as ST on the mental performance of ice hockey players.
