Derwent WPIでは、特許明細書がイクイバレント特許であるかどうかを判断する最も重要な要素とし て、優先権が使用されます。ベーシック文献は、トムソンサイエンティフィック社がこの文献を入手し た時点で、独自の優先権データを有しています。後日入手した特許文献が、さらに別の関連する優 先権を持つ場合、通常、この文献をベーシック特許とする新しいファミリーが作成されることになりま
す。これは、その新しい優先権情報のためだけでなく、通常後者の特許には追加情報があるからで す。
1985 年以降、レコードの古い優先権が、先のベーシック特許に独自のものとしてすでに収録されて いる場合、優先権はすべて、関連するレコード中でクロスリファレンスされています。
1985 年以前は、古い優先権に基づいたファミリーとの関係は直接には収録されておらず、また、ク ロスリファレンスフィールドにも表示されていません。しかし、このような関係は、関係する優先権のす べてを、新しいレコードが見つからなくなるまで検索することにより、オンラインで判断することができ ます。
ベーシック特許として入力された特許が、既存のレコードのイクイバレントであることが後で分かるこ とがあります。そのような場合、その関連する特許番号を正しいパテントファミリーに追加し、2 つのレ コードをそれぞれのアクセッション番号によって互いにクロスリファレンスさせます。
2006 年以前は、
Derwent WPI
で複数回出現する 1 つの特許番号に帰属する同一の特許番号を、関連する複数のレコードに含めることが可能でした。これは、バックファイルと新しく追加された文献 についてはあてはまりません。そのかわり、ある特定の文献が複数のファミリーに関連している場合、
これはクロスリファレンスアクセッション番号で表されます。したがって、
Derwent WPIでは、一つの特 許番号は一度しか出現しないことが言えます。
検索
/CRフィールドでは、アクセッション番号は、YYYY-XNNNNX形式およびYYYYXNNNNX形式で検 索できます。これらはアップデートとともに、YYYY-XNNNNX WW形式で表示されます。

The axle box operation reliability is increased by visual diagnosis. The axle box has a bearing (1), fitted in body (2) on axle (3) by nut (4) and stop plank (5), fixed on axle (3) end by two bolts (6). The body (2) is covered by a plate shaped lid (7), whose base is provided with two indentations, coaxial to the bolts (6) and situated with a min. gap w.r.t. the bolts (6) heads. If the bolts become unwound their heads form dents on the lids (7) indentations (8) which are easily discovered.
USE - The axle box is used in railways rolling stock. Bul.

Rolling stock axle-box assembly has a recess (8) in the cover (2), in the form of a parallel rod. The latter s large axle is in the assembly s vertical plane of symmetry. A minimal gap is formed between the recess s surface and a stopper plate s (6) head bolt. A crystal substance is located in the recess (8) in the axle box cover (2).
If the bolts (7) loosen, their heads begin to strike the parallelpiped s large surface, causing crumping and chipping of the crystal substance (9). Visual inspection will then show the need for dismantling and repair.
