Abstruct

ln this paper,we investigate the lower fatty acids produced in the methane fermentation, using feces of the laying hens  The analyses of the fatty acids and the produced gases are carried out by means of gas chromatography  The loM′ er fatty acids which are detected in this study are acetic,propionic,n― ^and i―butyric,and n―and i―valeric acids,respectively   ヽVe clarify that the concentration of the acetic acid among these loⅥ rer fatty acids maxirnizes at about 7 days and then decreases as time goes on  The rate of the relative concentration in C02 eXhibits the maxilnum at about 7 days and then decreases  The proportiOn of CH4in the produced gases increases sio、vly in the course of tirne,and becomes constant above 15 days  Lastly,M/e brieny discuss the relation between a role of the loMァer fatty acids and CH4 and C02

る本大学 の近郊 は ,鶏 卵 の産地 で あ り ,養 鶏場 か ら排 出 され る鶏糞 の処理 には多額 の費用 が費や されてい る。 これ らの問題 を解決 し ,か つ鶏糞 か らエネルギ ーを回収す る方法 と して ,興 味 が もたれ て い る ものが メタ ン発酵 で あ る。

本研 究 で は鶏糞 を原料 として ,発 酵温度 を鶏 の体温 と同 じ 42℃ に保 持 した場 合 の メタ ン発 酵 を行 な った。 その結果 生成す る中間物 質 (脂 肪酸 )の 種 類 を分析 し ,そ れ らの濃度 の 日数変 化 お よび発生す るガスの量 を測定 し ,次 に二酸 化灰 素 とメタ ンの相対成 分率 を求 めた。得 られ た結果 を基 に して
