EDITORIAL INTRODUCTION

A SPECIAL ISSUE, PART 2, ON THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE OPERATIONS RESEARCH SOCIETY OF JAPAN

We are pleased to publish the second special issue on the 60th anniversary of the es-tablishment of the Operations Research Society of Japan (ORSJ). The first special issue, Vol. 60, No. 3, with ten papers was published in July 2017, and eight papers are included in this issue, which also cover a broad varieties of topics in operations research. We believe that these two issues demonstrate innumerable research activities of members of ORSJ and that they will contribute to gaining the reputation of the journal. We do appreciate all the authors who submitted their valuable contributions to the special issues and all the reviewers for their cooperation. Finally, we are thankful to Ms. Shoko Takahashi, Ms. Keiko Fukuda, and Ms. Kazuko Saito, secretaries of JORSJ Editorial Office. Without their support, neither of the two issues would have been published on schedule.
