Abstract: In late years, the interest of day service staff about creating institutional environment has increased. They use “Guidelines on environmental support for elderly dementia (PEAP Japanese ver.3)” in their practice in each place . This theory was developed at the elderly nursing home, so we have to paid attention to differences between day service center and nursing home. We made the check list about matters that require attention along the staying process in day service center. If staffs utilize this checklist, they would be able to understand creating institutional environment and the relation with support effects of day service. In revision of the next nursing-care insurance system, the administration of day service by various people is groped. Many people including nonspecialists will need to understand about the environmental support for users at day service center in future. This checklist must help them as a guidance when they create institutional environment in day service center.
