2018 Student Financial Aid Program of Musashino-City
We will accept the application of the Financial Aid 2018 from this April. This is the financial aid for the estimate of annual payments to school, you can apply whether you are available to receive it.
The financial aid for the estimate of annual payments;
A. School lunch fee (About ￥50,000 a year) B. School trip fee (About ￥10,000 ～ ￥60,000)
C. Excursion fee, souvenir of graduation fee, etc.
D. School expenses (About ￥10,000 ～ ￥20,000 a year)
E. School expenses for newly enrolled student (1st & 6th grade student of elementary,
3rd grade student of junior high school. About
￥40,000 ～ ￥60,000)

If you apply for the aid before application deadline and may be granted, you can receive the financial aid payment from April, but after application deadline, you cannot receive the full amount of the payments, but only part of them for the remaining period after the approval.
The student who is available to receive the financial aid:
Financial aid is available to the students living in Musashino city and attending at public and national elementary or junior high school with one of the financial problems as following;
1. Household with annual income lower than the designated maximum sum.

2. Household receiving Child –Support Allowance (ex. A single parent) 3. Household on welfare
4. Household being unemployed or with disease, etc.
Examples
(The approximate maximum sum of annual income for the families depend on the member and age of the family members.)※Salary including all the family members with job will be approved from Jan. to Dec. in 2017
How to apply for the financial aid program
You must reapply for the aid again even if you were granted the aid in the past year. Mail the application to the following address or submit to the Educational Consulting & Support Section or the City Hall directly. The application form in not accepted municipal government center.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Q1: Can we apply for the financial aid whether or not we receive it?
A : Yes, you can. Please notify your annual income lower than the designated
maximum sum.
Q2: When can we receive the decision?
A : The decision whether or not you receive the financial aid will be mailed to you at the beginning of July.
Q3: When can we receive the payments if my application is granted?
A : The payments will be transferred to your bank account after each term (in middle of August, January and April)
School expenses for newly enrolled student will be transferred to your bank account at beginning of March.
Q4: Do we have to pay school lunch fee after the approval?
A : Withdrawal of school lunch fee from your bank account will be stopped after the approval. Any payments received before the approval will be refunded after the term end.
Q5: Do we have to pay other school supplies fee after the approval?
A : Yes, you do. You must pay other school expenses as instructed by school. The amount of money covered by the aid will be paid back after each term.
If the study payment required from your school has been unpaid, the financial aid payment will be transferred to your school bank’s account.
