A STUDY OF PEAK WIND FORCE COEFFICIENTS FOR SCREEN STANDING ON ROOFTOP

This paper describes peak wind force coefficients for screen standing on rooftop. The blindfold screen is often attached to the outside perimeter of building. However, distribution of wind force coefficients on screen stood away from the building edge has not been clarified. In this study, wind tunnel tests were performed to investigate relationship between separation distance and wind force coefficients for screen standing on rooftop. As a result, we observed tendency for the maximum peak wind force coefficient increase with increasing separation distance, and absolute value of the minimum peak wind force coefficient decrease with increasing separation distance. It was obtained that the maximum peak wind force coefficient is 3.5 to 3.9, and its minimum value is -2.2 to -2.9.
