Characteristics of the Certificate Examination System for Industrial School Teacher By comparison with Secondary School Industry Teacher’s Certification Examination

Toru Uchida 　This study is a part of historical research on the role of the Certificate Examination System for Industrial School. And, the purpose of this study was to clarify characteristics of the Certificate Examination System for Industrial School Teacher By comparison with Secondary School Industry Teacher’s Certification Examination. So, this study analyzed next 4 sides. That is method of Certificate Examination System, Examination Committee, and number of applicants and Successful candidate.

　As a result, feature of the Certificate Examination System for Industrial School Teacher was that Examination of industry was conducted from 1922 to 1943. Secondary School Industry Teacher’s Certification Examination did not carry out Examination of industry after 1886. The Certificate Examination System for Industrial School Teacher was implemented by subdividing Examination of industry. Like machinery, electricity, architecture, applied chemistry, and design. This caused the increase of Examination Committee, and number of applicants and Successful candidate.
