Pigment Dispersions for Mirror Effects
METALURE® dispersions represent the highest level in specular
reflectance and brilliance and cannot be duplicated by other metallic pigments. This unique brand is known worldwide as the benchmark of metallic performance.
METALURE® pigments are microscopically thin aluminum platelets
manufactured in a physical vapour deposition process. This guarantees pigments with uniform thickness and a homogeneous smooth surface. METALURE® dispersions offer extraordinary
brilliance and hiding power, far beyond that what can be achieved with conventional aluminum pigments.
The ability to simulate the reflectivity and flash of foil, hot stamping and vacuum metallizing makes it the optimum product to reduce cost by selectively printing in-line.

aluminium pigments in a variety of solvents suitable for almost all ink systems.
• The METALURE® pigments of A- and L- series are completely
free of any lubricants and therefore offer perfect non-leafing properties, most suitable for applications where perfect rub resistance, split-proof and intercoat adhesion is required. • METALURE®-based inks are ideally suited for tinting to achieve
high brilliant polychromatic effects.

Aluminum Pigment Pastes
ROTOVARIO Non-leafing aluminum pigment pastes are specifically developed to meet the high requirements of modern ink formula-tions for packaging and labels.
With advanced milling technologies and surface treatments the ROTOVARIO product range offers a wide selection of metallic shades, from smooth silky-gloss to bright and whitish shades or even chrome-like effects. Optimized non-leafing properties provide color consistency in polychromatic metallic inks, as well as improved adhesion performance and rub resistance. ROTOVARIO pigments are pasted with specific solvents for aromatic- and ketone-free ink formulations.
Additionally, ROTOVARIO products meet the latest regulatory requirements as raw materials for packaging inks. Regulatory information sheets are available on request.

ROTOSAFE AQUA and the new HYDRO PELLETS grades are water-dispersible aluminum pigments in pellet technology. The pigment surface stabilization makes them compatible for the employment into a wide range of aqueous dispersions and emulsions. The solvent-free pigment pellets allow the formulation of VOC-free printing inks.
Clean handling, easy dosage and dispersing properties are key advantages of the dust free pellets.

METALURE® UV is the high-end aluminum pigment produced by
PVD technology (physical vapor deposition), stabilized and surface treated, offering the possibility to formulate UV-curable mirror inks for surface printing.
ROTOVARIO UV and STAPA® UV are pigment pastes with specific
pasting media for optimized curing performance. Brilliant silver and gold effects with excellent opacity can be achieved, due to the selection of pigments with fine and ultra-fine particle size distribution.
