本論文は,固体高分子形燃料電池(PEFC)のカソードにおけるPt触媒の活性を触媒担体の改良 により向上させ,非Pt触媒であるMo系触媒およびPd系触媒の性能を第二成分の添加あるいはシ リカ被覆により向上させることに成功し,PEFC のカソードにおける Pt 使用量の低減化に貢献す るもので,物質プロセス工学上寄与するところが大きい.よって本論文は博士(工学)の学位論文 に値するものと認める.
