１ 七夕たなばたについて
七夕たなばたは、元々もともと中国から伝つたわったと言われるお祭りです。これは、天あまの川がわを挟はさん で向かい合う２つの星の話がもとになっています。七夕たなばたの中に出てくる「織おり 姫
ひめ
」はこと座ざのベガ、「彦星ひこぼし」はわし座ざのアルタイルです。この恋こい人びとたちが１年 に１回だけ会うことができるとされる７月７日にお祭りがあります。
２ 七 夕たなばたの話について
七夕たなばたの話は、各地か く ちに様々さまざまなものがありますが、この「七夕たなばた紙しばい」のスト ーリーは、一般的いっぱんてきなものをもとにしました。
３ 七 夕たなばた祭りについて
元々もともとは、織おり物が上手な「織おり姫ひめ」のように習ならい事ごとが上手になるように願ねがう ものでしたが、現在げんざいは、何を願ねがってもいいものです。また、現在げんざいは、主おもに子ど もが楽しむ行事ぎょうじとして考えられています。一般いっぱんには、笹ささや竹たけの枝えだに願ねがいごとを 書いた短冊たんざくなどを飾かざります。
仙台せんだい市（宮城み や ぎ県）や平塚ひらつか市（神奈川県）では、大きな七夕たなばた祭りが開かれるこ とで有名です。そこでは、大きな七夕たなばたの飾かざりが町じゅうに飾かざられ、パレードな どもあります。このような七夕たなばた祭りは、子どもから大人にまで楽しまれていま す。

1 Tanabata
Legend has it that Tanabata had its beginnings as a festival originating in China. The basis of the legend is the story of two lovers, stars facing each other but divided by the Milky Way. The stars, Orihime and Hikoboshi, that appear in Tanabata are Vega of the Lyra constellation and Altair of the Aquilia constellation respectively. As these lovers can only meet once a year, an annual festival is held on the 7th of July each year.
２The Tanabata Kamishibai
There are various stories of Tanabata. This kamishibai version is typical of the stories available.
3 The Tanabata festival
Originally during the festival, wishmakers wished for the accomplishment of learning to be skillful like Orihime in making woven items but these days you may wish for whatever you desire. These days it is mainly considered a fun event for children. Normally tanzaku paper strips with wishmaker’s desires written on them are hung on the branches of bamboo grass and bamboo trees.
Sendai city in Miyagi Prefecture and Hiratsuka city in Kanagawa Prefecture among others, are famous for holding large Tanabata festivals.
The whole town is decorated with gigantic Tanabata decorations and there are also parades. In this way, the Tanabata festival is fun for both children and adults alike.
