● International Salon supports studies of children who live and attend school in Fuchu City. This service is intended to assist foreign children who are facing problems in the school life and are falling behind others in the
classroom because they do not speak Japanese, and is intended to assist Japanese children who had lived in a foreign country.
● Providing support for coursework (learnings such as arithmetic and natural science) as well as support for studying Japanese.
Giving one-on-one tutoring.
● Volunteer students from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies are assigned
as tutors to help children with their studies.
● Fee: Free of charge (please bring your own textbook.)
I have never studied how to solve an equation.
I can not make out what they are saying.
I can do arithmetic but are not good at solving word problems.

Every Friday, 17:00 – 18:30

Semester system. (The first semester: April – July / The second semester: September – March)
*A same tutor is planned to take charge of you both in the first and second semesters. However, this may be subject to change due to circumstances.
Applications
① Please fill in all the necessary items on the application form at the International Salon.
② We choose a tutor (volunteer student) taking charge of you. We will let you know about the starting date as soon as your tutor is decided.
＊ It may take a longer time to choose a tutor who can speak language of
child student’ s home country.
③ When a tutor is chosen, a meeting will be held among a child, guardian, a tutor, a university staff, and a Fuchu City staff. They will decide the contents of learning and textbooksin this meeting, and classeswill
start.
Rules after the start of c lasses
If you are late to or cannot attend a class, please inform the Salon Office accordingly as soon as possible.
If you can not attend a class, please make sure to inform the Salon Office accordingly by the day before the class.
