I would like to visit the Republic of South Africa. Last summer I read Long Walk to Freedom, the autobiography of Nelson Mandela. He was the great black leader who liberated that country from apartheid, the infamous racial discrimination system. Through this book, I learned about the country’s struggling history and was moved by his extraordinarily excellent character. According to my parents, throughout the 1990s the country was widely covered by the media, but nowadays I rarely see and hear the reports about it in the news. By the way, I hope to be a journalist covering international affairs, so if I have an opportunity to go there, I want to interview both black and white people and ask them about the post-apartheid situations and their real opinions of the series of reforms.
