The same will apply in t he case of a son who want s t o sacrifice himself for his fat her -- it will not be accept ed from him. Then Allah reminds t hem once again wit h t he words:

(nor let t he chief deceiver deceive you about Allah.) refers t o t he Shayt an. This was t he view of Ibn ` Abbas, Muj ahid, Ad-Dahhak and Qat adah. The Shayt an makes promises t o t hem and arouses in t hem false desires, but t here is no subst ance t o t hem, as Allah says:

(He makes promises t o t hem, and arouses in t hem false desires; and Shayt an's promises are not hing but decept ions.) (4:120). Wahb bin Munabbih said: ` Uzayr, peace be upon him, said:

"When I saw t he misfort une of my people, I felt very sad and dist ressed, and I could not sleep, so I prayed t o my Lord and fast ed, and I called upon Him weeping. There came t o me an angel and I said t o him: ` Tell me, will t he souls of t he right eous int ercede for t he wrongdoers, or t he fat hers for t heir sons' He said: ` On t he Day of Resurrect ion all mat t ers will be set t led, and Allah's dominion will be made manifest and no except ions will be made. No one will speak on t hat Day except wit h t he permission of t he Most Merciful. No fat her will answer for his son, or any son for his fat her, or any man for his brot her, or any servant for his mast er. No one will care about anybody except himself, or feel grief or compassion for anyone except himself.

Everyone will be worried only about himself. No one will be asked about anybody else. Each person will be concerned only about himself, weeping for himself and carrying his own burden.

No one will carry t he burden of anot her.''' This was recorded by Ibn Abi Hat im.
