2回目の「商用車ショー」は、7ヵ国、105社、2政府、2団体の出品
今回のショーは、社団法人 日本自動車工業会と社団法 人 自動車工業振興会の統合後、初めての開催となりま すが、「商用車ショー」としては、2回目となります。 出品会社は日本を含む7カ国から、105社2政府2団体 を数え、幕張メッセの1∼8ホールと屋外展示場を会場 として使用し、総展示面積(屋内)は、約2万5千平方メー トルで、前回（34回）の商用車ショーとほぼ同規模とな ります。展示場は、企業グループのまとまりや一体感を 考慮して、商用車部門をホール南側に、商用車ボディ部 門を北側に配置し、来場者にとって見学しやすい会場と なるようにレイアウトします。This is the first Tokyo Motor Show to be held since the merger of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association and the Japan Motor Industrial Federation and is the second time as a "commercial vehicles show." A total of 105 exhibiting companies, 2 governments, and 2 organizations had signed up from 7 countries, including Japan. Their exhibits will be housed in Halls 1-8 of Makuhari Messe and also the outside exhibition area. We have planned for a total exhibition area (indoor) of approximately 25,000 square meters, which will put the show roughly on par with the 34th show. In laying out the exhibition we have emphasized ease of viewing for visitors, and cohesion and coherence for corporate groupings. Commercial vehicles will be found along the south side of the hall: commercial vehicle bodies, along the north side.

Benches have been made available on the exhibition grounds as priority seating for elderly and handicapped visitors.
There are four Information Booths, located in front of the Central Exhibition gate and each of the entry gates. Feel free to ask the attendants any questions you may have.
PC's and PC terminals with Internet connections have been made available on the north side of each exhibition hall. Please use the PC's and the terminals to obtain information regarding the Exhibition grounds, or to access the Internet for other information.
The First Aid Center is located on the north side of the 1st floor of the Central Hall. A doctor and a nurse will be on duty at all times.
The "Automotive Guidebook of Japan" will be on sale at two locations, in front of the Central Gate and the West Gate. This guidebook contains information on Japanese and imported vehicles registered during 2001 and 2002.
In addition to the three restaurants and some shops located on the Exhibition grounds, we have prepared a total of six Food & Beverage Stands, located on the south side of each Exhibition Hall.

This corner will introduce visitors to a wide range of "working motorcycles," including the business models used for short-range transportation, collections, and small parcel deliveries, emergency motorcycles used in disaster response, and special models designed for export markets.

We plan to offer test-rides of 23 vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, vans and vehicles for the handicapped.

This corner will exhibit commercial vehicles and the work that they do in support of many aspects of day-to-day living. The following exhibitors are scheduled to participate:

前回のショーに引き続き交通安全推進の 目的で、パトカーの展示、シートベルトコン ビンサーの実演、救命救急、心肺蘇生のデ モンストレーションを予定しています。
The Cabinet Office will once again sponsor a corner on traffic safety, which will include police vehicles, a "seat belt convincer" demonstration, and rescue/CPR demonstrations.
前回のショーに引き続き千葉県内で活躍し ている様々な用途の商用車を一堂に展示 いたします。

We will also cooperatte with the Japanese Red Cross for publicity of bone marrow and organ donation.
このコーナーでは、バリアフリーと高齢化社会に対応するために 開発、試作された商用車を展示します。

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport corner features an exhibit of prototype commercial vehicles that have been developed to respond to the needs of the elderly and disabled.
1) Large busses designed for ease of use by all passengers, including the elderly and disabled.
2) Taxis that allow wheelchair users and regular passengers to ride together. 今回のテーマは「ＩＴＳ時代の物流を考える ―新世紀の交通システムが物流を変える―」 として、めざましい技術革新を遂げつつあ るエレクトロニクスや情報通信技術を活用 し、より高度な道路交通システムを構築し ようとするＩＴＳ(Intelligent Transport Systems )が、物流の将来をどのように 変えるかを様々な角度から分析し、新時代 の物流の姿をパネリストを交えてご紹介し ます。
This year's theme is "Distribution in the ITS Era-how 21st-century transport systems are changing the distribution industry." Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) uses rapidly evolving electronics and telecommunication technologies to create more advanced road transport systems. At this symposium, lecturers and panelists will discuss the changes and developments in a new era of distribution.

This program provides show visitors with a chance to test-ride commercial vehicles on public roads around the show venue, enabling them to experience the functions and features of the vehicles. Tickets will be available at the booths of exhibitors that participate in this program. The boarding area is located at the southern rest area alongside the Center and East Halls. Children under six are not permitted to board commercial vehicles, except for buses. For safety purposes, visitors may ride vehicles but are not allowed to test-drive them by themselves.

懐かしのヴィンテージ商用車を展示します。今回の出品車両は 1920年代から1970年代までの20台を予定。希少価値の高く なっているモデルばかりですので、是非ご期待ください。A chance to see the old, familiar commercial vehicles of the Past! This year's exhibit will feature approximately 20 rare, vintage commercial vehicles from 1920's to the 1970's.

Bookstores and publishers have cooperated to bring an exhibit of picture books that feature working vehicles. A selection of 30-40 books will be available for exhibit and reading.

The web site has been renamed the "Tokyo Motor Show Web Site" and provides up-to-the-minute information on the show.
The site has separate areas for the general public, the press and exhibitors to provide each with the information they require about this fall's" 36th Tokyo Motor Show" - Commercial Vehicles- (2002)."
