Abstract
The revenge of Emperor Yuuraku (雄略天皇) by Emperor Kenso (顕宗天皇) is depicted in the chapter of Emperor in Kojiki (古事記)• It can be inferred that his method of revenge and his moral code on which it is based originated in Chinese literature.
This essay mainly explores how this chapter is related to the Chinese chronicle, Shiji (史記),and how the oral tradition is formed .
