The effect of sharing ideas on the dementia
care worker's practice

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of sharing ideas on the practice of care workers who have cared for the elderly with dementia at their work place. At first, we had interviewed to care workers about how share dementia care ideas at their work place. According to results of interview investigation, we made questionnaire about the effect of sharing ideas on the dementia care worker's practice. Subjects were recruited care workers who attended a training session for dementia care. One hundred eighty-one care workers had answered to this questionnaire. We provided the factor analysis and we got four factors about what sharing ideas was. Those were 「Environment that can discuss」,「Concrete understanding」,「Agreement」,「Practical use at the time of the problem solution」, and「Practical use at the time of the exchange of opinions」. And we divided subjects into three groups by the methods of sharing ideas at work place. We performed a correlation analysis and a multiple regression analysis with among four factors within three groups.
