FOR VIBRATION MEASUREMENT IN GROUND-BORN SOUND

Vibration measurement on the surface of site is necessary to consider the measures for ground-born sound of a railway. However the surface of the site has often been paved, which is assumed to significantly effect vibration measurement on the site. This paper shows some results of numerical analysis and measurement examples of the effects of pavement for vibration measurement.

The main results are as follows: Horizontal vibration is suppressed as much as 20 dB, and susceptible to the rigidity of the pavement. The effects to vertical vibration is smaller, that is about s5dB. The effect quantity differs depending on the frequency, the position of the measurement and the specification of pavement.
