(4) . Some Observations on the Listed Family-Controlled Corporations in Japan. Norihisa YOSHIMURA Abstract The purpose of this paper is to provide empirical evidence that there have been quite a few listed family-controlled corporations in Japan, including Toyota Motor, Matsushita Electric Industrial, Canon, and some of those corporations have achieved a strong performance. So far little attention has been given to the management of big family corporations. According to popular belief observed among business people in Japan, family firms tend to have several problems from the view of corporate governance. Critics have suggested that top managers from founding families have tended to have poor capabilities to manage big businesses and to make matters worse they often exercise authorities as the dictator. On the other hand, according to some empirical findings, which attempt to investigate the source of competitiveness of Japanese firms, there are a lot of excellent family corporations in Japan.. .

The main purpose of this paper is to extend the characterizations of the second eigenvalue to the case treated in [29] by an abstract approach, based on techniques of metric

It can be shown that cubic graphs with arbitrarily large girth exist (see Theorem 3.2) and so there is a well-defined integer µ 0 (g), the smallest number of vertices for which a

The purpose of this paper is to guarantee a complete structure theorem of bered Calabi- Yau threefolds of type II 0 to nish the classication of these two peculiar classes.. In

– Classical solutions to a multidimensional free boundary problem arising in combustion theory, Commun.. – Mathematics contribute to the progress of combustion science, in

Thus, we use the results both to prove existence and uniqueness of exponentially asymptotically stable periodic orbits and to determine a part of their basin of attraction.. Let

The main purpose of this paper is to show, under the hypothesis of uniqueness of the maximizing probability, a Large Deviation Principle for a family of absolutely continuous

We shall see below how such Lyapunov functions are related to certain convex cones and how to exploit this relationship to derive results on common diagonal Lyapunov function (CDLF)
