Dr Tiina Silander is the Head of the Teacher Education Department at the University of Jyväskylä (2008-). Dr. Silander has worked at the Department of Teacher Education as a Senior Assistant of Science Pedagogy since 2006. Prior to that, she worked in the Institute for Educational Research in the research group for Assessing Learning Outcomes. Within teacher education Dr. Silander is responsible for planning and development of both primary teacher and subject teacher education.
The Department of Teacher Education educates professionals who are able to respond to the changing needs of school and teaching profession and the challenges of lifelong continuing education.
Dr Silander is a biologist (M.Sc.) and a qualified teacher. Her Ph.D. research concentrates on issues of science pedagogy and learning. Now her main interests are on developing teacher education and future school.

ティーナ・シランダー博士はユヴァスキュラ大学の教員養成学科の責任者です（2008 年から）。博士は 2006 年から教員養成学科で科学的教育学の上級アシスタントとして働 いています。それ以前から、教育研究機関で学習結果を審査する研究グループの一員と して勤務しています。シランダー博士は教員養成学科において、初等教育と専門科目の 双方の教員養成計画および能力開発の責任を担っています。教員養成学科では、学校、
教員からの日々変化するニーズや生涯継続教育の課題に対応できるようなプロの教員を 養成しています。
シランダー博士は生物学者（科学修士）であり、教員の資格も持っています。Ph.D を 授与された研究分野では、科学的な教育と学習の課題に集中して取り組みました。現在、
博士は、主に教員養成と未来学校の開発に興味を持っています。
