In publishing the GPI Pipe Standards Issue
Since the FRP high-pressure pipe developed by Dr. Yoshinori Nishino has a pressure resistance of 100 MPa and a heat resistance of 250 ℃, which greatly exceeds the API standard, aiming to establish the GPI international standard for FRP pipes, GPI Standards Committee was established on March 2, 2013. After that, GPI pipe standard establishment work proceeded, and provisional standards for FRP high pressure pipes was established in 2014. Further, the GPI Pipe Standards was revised in 2020. Although it was a little late due to the unprecedented corona disaster, we will publish the contents of the 2020 revised version of the GPI Pipe Standards as a special issue of the GPI Journal. The GPI Standards will be extended not only to pipes but also to flanges, cylinder (pipe) tank, and others.

GPI 管規格号発刊に当たって
西野義則博士が開発した遠心成形法によるFRP 高圧管が API 規格を大きく超える耐圧 100MPa、耐
熱 250℃の性能を持つことから、2013 年 3 月 2 日、FRP 管の GPI 国際標準規格制定を目指して、 GPI 標準化委員会が発足しました。その後、GPI 管規格制定作業が進められ、2014 年に FRP 高圧管 の暫定規格が制定されました。さらに、2020 年に GPI 管規格の改正が行われました。未曽有のコロ ナ禍等で若干遅れましたが、ここに2020 年改正版の GPI 管規格の内容につき、GPI Journal の特集
号として発刊いたします。なお、GPI 規格は管のみならず、フランジやシリンダー（パイプ）タンク、
他にも拡張される予定です。
