アフリカ航路を改編
当社はアフリカ航路に関してサービスの改編・新設を行います。 今回のサービス改編・新設を通じて、当社はクーハ港（南アフリカ共和国）(*)をアジア、西 アフリカ、南部アフリカ諸国ならびに南米東岸諸国をつなぐハブポートとして位置づけ、高品 質なサービスを提供します。当社は新中期経営計画「GEAR UP! MOL」において「新たなる成長への挑戦」をテーマと し、今後も成長の見込まれる新興国トレードのネットワーク拡充を進めていきます。 (*)クーハ港（南アフリカ共和国） 南アフリカ共和国ポートエリザベスの北東約 20 キロに位置する。南アフリカ共和国のすべてのターミナル を運営する国営ターミナル運営会社、TRANSNET 社が 2009 年 10 月に開業した。大型船の寄港を可能とす る大水深バースを有し、充実したトランシップ機能をもつターミナルとして設計され、同地域随一のハブ港 を目指している。 ○サービス改編・新設概要 １．アジア／ダーバン向けサービスの見直し アジア／ダーバン向けサービスを見直し、現在10 日間隔で配船するアジア‐インド洋諸 島／南アフリカ／モザンビークサービス(MZX)を、ウィークリー配船化するとともに、イ ンド洋諸島寄港を休止し、アジア／南アフリカ（ダーバン）／モザンビークのサービスに 改編します。 これに伴い、これまでアジア／ダーバンサービスを提供していたアジア／南米東岸航路 （ＣＳＷ）の西航において寄港地をダーバン港からクーハ港に変更するとともに新たにア ジア／インド洋諸島（IOX）のサービスを提供します。 Ａ．アジア－インド洋諸島／南アフリカ／モザンビークサービス(MZX)の改編 ■ 新サービスローテーション： シンガポール － ダーバン － マプート － ポートケラン － シンガポール ■ 新サービス開始 ： 2010 年 5 月 8 日 シンガポール発 から ■ 投入船型 ： 1,200TEU 型コンテナ船 ５隻 ■ サービス頻度 ： 定曜日サービス
Ｂ．アジア／南米東岸航路（ＣＳＷ）の改編 ■ 新サービスローテーション： 天津（新港）－ 大連 － 青島 － 釜山 － 上海 － 香港 － シンガポール － クーハ（南アフリカ共和国）－ サントス － ブエノスアイレス － モンテビデオ － パラナグア － サンフランシスコ・ド・スル － サントス － リオデジャネイロ － ケープタウン － クーハ － シンガポール － 香港 － 天津（新港） ■ 新サービス開始：2010 年 5 月 7 日シンガポール発 “MOL STRENGTH” V. 4901 AB から Ｃ．アジア／インド洋諸島サービス（IOX）の新設 MZX サービスの改編に伴い、アジア／インド洋諸島サービス（IOX）を開設し、 インド洋諸島へのサービスを提供します。 ■ サービスローテーション： シンガポール － ポートルイス － レユニオン － タマタベ － シンガポール ■ 新サービス開始：

■ 投入船型 ： 850ＴＥＵ型コンテナ船 ２隻 ■ サービス頻度 ： 隔週定曜日サービス ２．クーハ港（南アフリカ共和国）への接続サービスの本格開始 南アフリカ共和国の国営ターミナル運営会社であるTRANSNET 社がハブポート構想の もと拡充を進めているクーハ港について、当社は昨年、アジア船社としては初めて寄港を 開始しました。今回の改編で、同港利用を本格化させることにより、アジア・南米東岸・ 西アフリカ・南部アフリカ諸国を結ぶネットワークを確立し、効率的で高品質なサービス を提供します。 その一環として、当社の南アフリカ／西アフリカ航路（ＳＷＸ）を改編するとともに、 成長著しいアンゴラ共和国のマーケット需要に対応するため、クーハ港とルアンダ港を結 ぶシャトルサービス（ＡＯＳ）を新たに開設します。 Ａ． 南アフリカ／西アフリカ航路（ＳＷＸ）の改編 ■ 新サービスローテーション： ダーバン － クーハ （南アフリカ共和国）－ ケープタウン － ウォルビスベイ － アビジャン － テマ － ロメ － コトヌー － デュアラ － クーハ － ダーバン

MOL Announces Changes to Africa Trade Network
Tokyo – Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today announced changes in its services related to the Africa trade.
Aiming for more stable service and schedule integrity, Mozambique Zuid Africa Service (MZX) will cover Durban, which is currently covered by Asia / East Coast South America Service (CSW). MZX will also be upgraded from 10 days interval to weekly service, but will suspend port calls at Indian Ocean Islands, which will be covered by a new dedicated service, Indian Ocean Islands Express (IOX).
South bound CSW service will call at Ngqura (South Africa)(*) instead of Durban. Furthermore, MOL has set up a new Angola Shuttle service (AOS) to cater to the growing trade requirements to and from Angola.
MOL General Manager of the Liner Division T.K. Konishi said, “One of major objectives in MOL’s new mid-term management plan, GEAR UP! MOL, is to focus on emerging trades and countries. We are the only Asian carrier that calls at the port of Ngqura as a hub port, which not only accommodates much larger ships but also is designed to offer efficient transship operation. These features help MOL enhance its network, with Ngqura as a strategic hub port. All of our customers will benefit in transporting their cargoes on these routes through our new high-quality service network.”
Transnet Port Terminals COO Nosipho Damasane commented, “MOL development of these service changes are exactly what Transnet is looking for in the development of the Ngqura terminal, namely volume growth of transshipment cargo from other regions around the global. Transnet Port Terminals looks forward to MOL’s development in Ngqura and to the growth of partnership to both companies’ mutual benefit.”

The Port of Ngqura is a deepwater port of South Africa, 20km north east of Port Elizabeth.Transnet, a national company in South Africa that has controlled all terminals in South Africa, has operated their terminal in Ngqura since October, 2009. The port of Ngqura, which has the deepest berths and efficient terminals for transshipping, will be one of the main hub ports in these areas.
