University of Milan (UniMi), the only Italian member of League of European

Research Universities (LERU) is one of a leading research-intensive university in

Italy. Along with the university-wide exchange program between Waseda and

UniMi started from 2001, the departmental exchange program between SPSE,

Waseda and Department of Social and Political Sciences, UniMi has been newly

launched. UniMi offers courses taught in both Italian and English. In addition to

courses offered for undergraduate students, exchange students can take graduate

courses taught in English.

Requirement

Applicants must have a high level of English proficiency equivalent to TOEFL score of PBT 550 (CBT 213, iBT 80) or above.

*If you are proficient in Italian, English proficiency is not required. For details, please ask SPSE Office.

Tuition Fees

Whereas successful candidates are to pay their tuition fees for Waseda during their stay at UniMi, they do not have to pay any tuition fees for UniMi; however, other expenses such as travel expenses, living expenses and other miscellaneous expenses are to be defrayed by successful candidates.

Notes

Information of the successful candidates is to be sent to UniMi after the internal screening at SPSE and the final decision for acceptance will be made by UniMi.

Once successful candidates are accepted, they are not allowed to apply for other study abroad programs offered by CIE or SPSE. Successful candidates have to purchase university-designated overseas travel insurance before going to study abroad.
