●あとがき

 久しぶりの大阪開催ということで、従来の関東地方での開催に比べて出展規模や参加者数にお いて見劣りするのではないか、という事務局の当初の危惧に反し、出展者数は共同出展者を含む と前年比で4割増しとなった。JETROや地元による海外へのプロモーション活動や、国内地域ク ラスターが育成しているベンチャー企業がシーズの売り込み段階に進展していることなどが出展 者増に寄与したと思われる。また、レセプションにおいては参加者の半数以上が外国人であった。

これらの活況は出展者、来場者、後援団体、地元および主催者等全ての関係者の熱心な努力の賜 物であると共に、バイオジャパン自体が国際的にも一定の評価を得ている証ではないだろうか。

 次回の「バイオジャパン2007」は、平成19年9月19日(水)から21日(金)の3日間、パシフィ コ横浜で開催する予定である。横浜での開催は2005に続くものであり、地元の期待も大きい。

大阪に引き続き、多くの出展ならびに来場を期待したい。
