本研究ではマルチタッチテーブルトップ向けウィジットであるHandyWidgetsについて述べ
た。HandyWidgetsは両手によるマルチタッチジェスチャである引出しジェスチャよって呼出
される。引出しジェスチャを用いることによって、ユーザは一度のジェスチャによってウィ ジットの位置、方向およびサイズを指定できる。そのため、ユーザは自身の近くに適切な方 向を向いたウィジットを表示できる。本研究では、さらに引出しジェスチャを用いることに よって可能になる応用的なインタラクション手法を開発した。またウィジットの設計空間を 調査し、アプリケーションを開発した。被験者実験を行いウィジットの使われ方を調査した。
この実験から位置、方向およびサイズを指定できるウィジットが協調作業に影響を与えるこ とが確認された。
