さおりは家族でイギリスを旅行しています。『ハリー・ポッター』シリー ズの大ファンである彼女は、映画の撮影地にもなったコッツウォルズ地方 を訪れることが楽しみでなりません。彼女はホテルの部屋からメールで、 日本にいるグリーン先生、リンダ、マイクにその胸中を伝えます。

Dear Ms. Green, Linda, and Mike,

I arrived safely in the UK. I love the Harry Potter series and have always

wanted to see the movie locations. So, today I visited King’s Cross Station

in London. It is the station where Harry departed for a magical world.

Tomorrow I’m going to take a bus to the Cotswolds. This area is famous

for its beautiful towns and villages. Some of the scenes in the movies were

filmed there.

I’m looking forward to visiting the Cotswolds!

Today I visited some towns and villages. One of them has a cathedral that

dates back to more than a thousand years ago! It reminded me of the

magic school in the Harry Potter movies. I also saw many old houses built

of honey-colored limestone. They were shining so beautifully in the sun.

I will never forget the moment when I came across those houses.

Tomorrow I’m going to visit a village where there are a lot of beautiful

gardens.
