Abstract. A new

genus, Cleistopetatum,

and fivenew species, Aiphon, seaorthopetaia, (/teis- topetalum

borneense, Cleistopetalum

sumatranum,

Haplostichanthus

novoguineensis and Oncodostigma microjlorum, are

described from

the Malesian wet tropics.Among therm,H.

novoguineensis extends the range ofthe

genus,

known as a regional near-endemic to Austra- iia,to New Guinea IsEand.

Key words: Aiphensea, Annonaceae, Cleistopetatum,Haptestichanthus,Malesia, new

On the

opportunities

to join botanical

expeditions

to the Malesian

wet

tropics, I had the

opportunity

to

observe some scientifically unknown spe-

report

a

new

genus and five

new specie$

found in East Kalimantan

are

described.

Nbtes. This genus belongs to the Artabotrys group (in the

sense of

Fries I1959])

and maybe related

to (lyathocalyx, but differs fTom Cyatho-

calyx

in its

cauliflorous

habit, in

closed

petals

and

in the free

sepals.

Although the large

crowded

flowers

on

the trunk

are conspicuous

in

the forest (Fig. IA, B), I

observed anthesis of

C

sumatranum only once

during

several visits

to the locality. Examination of

specimens of

Anno-

naceae

in Bo

and

slNG failed to yield

additional specimens

belonging to

the genus, It

may

be

very

difficult to

observe and collect

the flowers

of

this

genus because

of

the

rarity of anthesis.

In recent years, several methods have been developed to obtain traveling wave solutions for many NLEEs, such as the theta function method 1, the Jacobi elliptic function

7, Fan subequation method 8, projective Riccati equation method 9, differential transform method 10, direct algebraic method 11, first integral method 12, Hirota’s bilinear method

The reader is referred to [4, 5, 10, 24, 30] for the study on the spatial spreading speeds and traveling wave solutions for KPP-type one species lattice equations in homogeneous

The Motive Attached to an Algebraic Hecke Character It is possible to develop the theory of p-adic CM-periods using abelian varieties with complex multiplication.. This approach

Applying the representation theory of the supergroupGL(m | n) and the supergroup analogue of Schur-Weyl Duality it becomes straightforward to calculate the combinatorial effect

Similarly, an important result of Garsia and Reutenauer characterizes which elements of the group algebra k S n belong to the descent algebra Sol( A n−1 ) in terms of their action
