ニュース・報道番組の映像取材・映像編集業務を行っています。
NHK Global Media Services propose, produce, and send out NHK programs, particularly for the NHK BS channels. We also gather and edit video footage for NHK news and current affairs programs.

Our team of professionals keeps a watch on the world 24 hours a day to support NHK's international news coverage, supplying images of major incidents, disasters, sports events, and so on, from around the globe, via a range of platforms, including satellite and the Internet, and the latest image-processing technologies.

We also produce digital content and negotiate broadcasting rights for sports coverage.

Datacasts
災害などの緊急時のデータ放送や、首都圏をはじめ各地の放送 局の地上デジタル放送のデータを制作しています。また各種のスポ ーツ番組のデータ放送のコンテンツの制作をしています。
We produce datacasts for disasters and other emergencies, as well as the datacasts provided with sports programs and the terrestrial digital telecasts made from the Tokyo area and other NHK stations across Japan.

Closed Captioning
テレビ番組の音声を文字化して伝える字幕放送のデータを制 作しています。聴覚に障害がある方や音声の聞き取りにくい方 に、ニュースやスポーツの生中継など、さまざまな番組を字幕つき でお伝えしています。Closed captions are produced to provide transcripts of TV soundtracks for the deaf and hearing impaired. Closed captioning is available for a range of programs, including news and live sports telecasts.

日本最大級の通訳・翻訳センターで、取り扱う言語数はおよそ100 登録スタッフはおよそ1000人です。ＮＨＫの放送同時通訳やシンポ ジウムなどの会議通訳を担当し、圧倒的な評価を確立しています。NHK Global Media Services operate one of Japan's largest interpreting and translation agencies, which has about 1,000 registered staff who can provide interpreting and translation services for about 100 languages. Bilingual Center provides most of the on-air simultaneous interpreting for NHK, and its
conference interpreters have gained an excellent reputation in various high-profile assignments.

The Institute trains leading-edge professionals in the English language, and has produced many outstanding interpreters and news writers. The Institute also provides training in conference interpreting and business translation.

This service provides NHK news flashes, earthquake and tsunami warnings, and other special warnings and useful information in times of an emergency. It can also provide forecasts for rain, lightning, and tornadoes 30 minutes in advance of the expected weather event.

"LiveNews" provides updates about disasters, emergencies or other major incidents; details are readily available in the "Pick-Up Corner". It can provide important information about earthquakes, tsunamis, and other disasters, giving details about damage, vital services, etc., thereby helping protect lives and property.
There are also sections providing local news and news commentary. News items can be found with the News Search feature by entering key words or phrases. There is also a 5-Minute News Roundup which provides a digest of the news for each day. Photo News provides images caught by news cameras.
A number of news items are also available in English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese.
"1,000 Economic Cues ! " provides economic news relevant to the home and the workplace - a must-see segment for businesspeople in particular.
The "Today in History" segment enables you to keep track of past events, the birthdays of important people and other historical facts. Users can also view archival news clips from the "Nippon News" segment (newsreels screened in cinemas before television entered the mainstream) and archival material from the "Best of Video Selection"

全国市区町村単位での3時間毎の天気・気温・降水確率、台風情報 はもちろん、健康を守る「熱中症・紫外線・花粉情報」、サクラ開花・山 の天気・紅葉情報などの季節情報や全国のレジャー施設3,000か所の 天気など、生活密着型の天気情報を発信しています。A useful and comprehensive service providing 3 hourly forecasts of the weather conditions, temperatures, rain, details about any typhoons, etc., in any local authority in Japan. Also provides details about ultraviolet-light levels, the risk of heat stroke, and pollen levels, as well as conditions in the mountains and seasonal update informing people where and when cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, etc., will be at their best. Users can access weather condition at some 3,000 leisure facilities across Japan.
