日本語の形容詞活用の語形の記述法を示す。例えばアカイ，タカカッタ，ウレシケレバならば，形容詞と呼 ぶ前部，アカ・，タカ・，ウレシ・と，活用形と呼ぶ後部，・イ，・カッタ，・ケレバとへ分解し，両者を組むだ けでもとへ戻す。いわゆる活用表，いわゆる付属語の接続指定は要らず，また，要らないばかりか，事実の観 察を妨げてもいる。時空の７地点，八丈，宮古，中央の文献時代の始まり，徳島，東京，秋田，琉球の文献時 代の始まりを例に採って，うち今回は東京までについて，新しい記述法を見せる。
