Stevensonの散文(特にそのarChais皿)について. しているようだが,岩崎民の言われるように簡潔趣味のあらわれと解される場合もあろうし,階調その他複∃堆な彼のStyle上の要求に応じている場合もあろうと思われるのである｡. ともかく,彼の,散文にarChaismが相当入っていて,これが彼の'散文styleのノー特色をなしているということは動かせない事実で,語が時の経過につれて得た意味では, しっくりした解釈が出来ない場合があって,特に',我々外国の読者をなやますことがある. のであるo次に自分の集めたもののLFFlから,幾つか例をあけざて,その実際のすがたに触れてみたいと思う｡. Stevensonが覆してから,今年(1958)は64年目に当たるoこれだけの年月が経過して見れば,彼ばかi)でなく,彼と同時代の作家の文も,現代作家の文と較べれば,幾分古びて来ていることだろうと思われるのであるo従って,次に挙げた各例に於て論じられていることはすべて,先ず彼の時代に立って論じられているCL,であ.o. ,.
