機内で日付が変わり 2 日目シドニー到着。少し雨が
降っていて肌寒かったです。（日本と真逆の気候を実
感！）シドニー市内を観光、ランチ後ハーストビル
市役所へ。（ドキドキ…。ホストファミリーと対面す
るんだもの！）2 日間体験入学もしました。アジア系
の住民が多く、街には日本のお店がたくさんありまし た。とにかくコミュニケーションの大切さを知ったか な。オーストラリアの人たちはフレンドリーで、親切で した！ We love Aussie!!!

中学生のみなさん、お帰りなさい!(^^)! 帰ってからのみなさんの英語の勉強はどうですか？何か変わりましたか(^_-)-☆
知らない国で言葉や文化の違いを経験することはとても貴重で大切なことです。たった 11 日間でしたがオーストラリアの人と友情関
係を築きました。この経験を今後のみなさんの人生にプラスになればいいなあと思います。みなさんがオーストラリアだけではなく世界
中の人と友好関係を発展させ、今世界中で起きている悲しいことがなくなる日を望みます。

Q)What was the strangest experience you had? A) ▶There were many Japanese shops.
▶Students could eat snacks in the classroom.
▶People talk on the phone in trains. ▶The urinals are connected!

Q)What was your biggest cultural shock?
A) ▶At school, students were allowed to put on make-up and they can eat snacks at school. Students in Australia
are free. It was also difficult to communicate in the Japanese way of pronouncing English.
▶The snacks in Australia were not delicious. There were no baths and we can only take a short shower to save
water. At school, there were no homerooms and we didn't have to clean the school!
▶Flying a boomerang. Also, wearing shoes in the house. The purikura in Australia is also very expensive!
Florence’s question:
Q) What surprised you at first when you arrived in Australia?
A) ▶The house of my host family in Hurstville. It was very big, with a pool and a trampoline.
▶The food. Very different, and in big portions. Also at school, I was surprised to see students moving to
other classrooms between classes.
