講義目的及び到達目標 In this course, we will read and discuss several works of Japanese literature by focusin g on two topics: “Truth and fiction”, and “Personal identity”.
Students will become familiar with the texts discussed in class and with their respectiv e socio-cultural backgrounds. Students will be asked to discuss with their peers, expres s their opinion, critically analyze, and write about the texts discussed in class.

Part One: Truth and fiction (weeks 2-8)
