 2018 年、桜十字グループは13 年目を迎えます。この 間、多くの皆さまにご支援をいただき、また、時代のニー ズという追い風もあり、病院運営と介護事業を中心として 業容を拡大してまいりました。  私は常々、Happy Spiralという言葉を好んで使います が、これは、お客さま、地域社会、そして我々が良い循環 を作りだして、そこに関わるもの全てが螺旋状に上昇拡大

Sakurajyuji Group marks the 13th anniversary in 2018. For the past 13 years, we could have expanded our businesses, especially the healthcare and the nursing care business, with the support of many people and by answering the needs of the times.

Happy Spiral is the phrase that we prefer to use at all times. Th e phrase expresses that consumers, communities, and we create a virtuous circle by complementing each other, then all grows and expands in a spiral way.

Our society, however, is currently facing fi scal constraints, constraints attributed to decline in the labor force population, shrinking markets and local communities, and would be apt to head for downward spiral. Since I do not know the times when everything was continuously growing, I am able to accept the current social conditions as “that’s the way it is”, yet on the other hand, realize that the majority of Japanese people feel a sense of stagnation by hearing from elders and betters and visiting foreign countries.

We would like to provide even better services to patients and consumers. We would like the living standard in the community to be even higher. We would like to paint a prosperous future although I imagine contract equilibrium from the current social environment. We consider that the provision of enriched services and the formation of the prosperous community could be materialized if we are able to be innovative and implement innovation in the right way.

I employ the slogan “Challenge to the Next” as I would like to strive to paint a prosperous future. For the next future, we will turn over a new leaf and do our best. We will appreciate your further help and encouragement from now on.

桜十字サンクス・イルミネーション

桜十字グループでは、クリスマスの時季にイルミネーショ ンを点灯します。延べ150万個の電飾を社員が全て手作 りで飾り付けます。ＬＥＤライトを使用し、見ごたえのあ る輝きを低コストで実現。1シーズンの来場者は約2万人 を超え、地域の冬の風物詩となっています。

Sakurajyuji Thanks Illumination

“Sakurajyuji Thanks Illumination” takes place during the Christmas season every year. All the illuminated statures are fully made by hand and decollated by the employees. Also, because LED lights are used, the impressive brilliance is materialized at low cost. This event attracts more than 20,000 visitors in one season and becomes a feature of win-ter in the community.

病棟照明のLED化

2009年、桜十字病院の病棟改修時に照明計画を一新。 CＯ2排出量削減率 49.7％という高い省エネ効果と入院 生活をより豊かにする患者さまに優しい光環境の両立を 実現。環境省の主催する「省エネ照明デザインモデル事 業」に採択され、認定書を授与されました。

Sifting from incandescent lights to LED lights In 2009, we refurbished the lighting program of Sakurajyuji hospital and replaced incandescent lights with LED lights. By the refurbishment, we realized energy saving by achiev-ing an actual reduction rate in carbon dioxide emissions of 49.7% while providing a gentle light environment to the patients. Consequently, we were adopted as an “ener-gy-efficient lighting design model business” hosted by the ministry of the environment and granted the certification.

リサイクル率99.5%の解体工事

2006年、桜十字病院は新病棟建設に伴う東館解体工事 を実施。「ゴミゼロ」を命題として取り組み、ダンプ約200 台分の産業廃棄物をゼロに。当時、建設リサイクル法で は2010年までにリサイクル率 95％の達成を定めていま したが、この工事では99.5％という数値を達成しました。

Implementation of demolition work achieving recycle rate of 99.5%

In 2006, Sakurajyuji hospital implemented the demolition work to build the new ward. Under the slogan of “zero-waste “, we succeeded not to dispose of 200 truckloads of industrial wastes. As a result, we achieved the recycle rate of 99.5%, although the Construction Material Recycle Law at the time set the achievement of the recycle rate of 95% by 2010.

2019年春、日本を代表する放送作家、脚本家の小山薫堂氏のプロデュースの もと、桜十字病院のシンボルである「さくら館」の1階フロアを全面リニューアル いたします。フランスで大ヒットした絵本「まってる。」の世界観をモチーフに、カ フェラウンジ・ライブラリー・レタールームなどを新設し、そこでの「まってる」 時間を通じて、人生の大切なことに気付く新たな価値を提案していきます。

New entrance area produced by Mr. Kundo Koyama

The renovation of the entrance area of “Sakura-kan”, the symbolic building of Sakurajyuji hospital, will be implemented under the direction of Mr. Kundo Koyama, one of the representative writers of Japan in the spring of 2019. In the motif of view of the world of “Matteru” (waiting), the picture book which became a big hit in France and translated into Japanese by Mr. Koyama, a café-lounge, a library, and a letter room will newly open.

Sakurajyuji Group has launched “Hospitalment” (senior hous-ing facility) business as we realized the necessity of the senior housing where the elderly could feel safe in terms of both med-ical and nursing services and affluence throughout operating hospitals. We always ask ourselves whether we are able to let our own parents live in the place when considering nursing-care services. Medical Tribune has provided the latest medical information as the leader company in the medical media, ever since it issued the first edition of “Medical Tribune”, a medical newspaper, in 1968. It has also launched a website with the same name providing medical and healthcare information with evidence to the reg-istered member doctors, while sending medical information to Japanese consumers through the website named “Kenko100 En-cyclopedia for Consumer Healthcare” and various information to pharmacists through “Pharma Tribune” which is a member-ship system web site. Moreover, other business such as event / convention business supporting holdings of conferences and seminars, editing / PR support business editing and producing academic journals, survey business utilizing its member doctors and pharmacists as respondents to panel inquiries, and out-placement business continues to expand.

Kinpodo, a book publishing company, is an affiliated company of Medical Tribune established in 1948. It publishes books re-lating to nursing and welfare as well as medical science.

Nipponrinshosha Co., Ltd.

Nipponrinshosha is a long established medical publishing com-pany founded in 1943. It has continued to publish a medical magazine named “Nippon Rinsho” for more than 70 years and became an affiliated company of Medical Tribune in 2014. 関連会社 金芳堂 メディカルトリビューン社の子会社で、1948年に創立された医 学図書出版社です。最近では、医学のほか、看護・介護、福祉 関係の書籍も発行しています。 日本臨牀社 1943年創立の老舗医学出版社で、同年に創刊した医学雑誌「日 本臨牀」を70年もの長きにわたり発行し続けています。2014 年にメディカルトリビューン社の子会社となりました。 2018年4月、Medical Tribune紙は創刊50周年を迎えました。1968年の創刊以来、医師・ 医療従事者に「必要とされる」医学・医療の最新情報を、「正確に」提供することが、小紙の使 命でした。メディアをめぐる環境は大きく変化していますが、この出発点を忘れることなく、医 療メディアとしての新たな形を作り上げていきます。

Medical Tribune marked its 50th anniversary in April, 2018. Ever since 1968 when it was first published, the mission of Medical Tribune has been to ‘precisely’ provide the latest ‘needed’ medical science and healthcare information to doctors and healthcare professionals.

Although environment surrounding the media is changing dramatically, we will retain the mission and strive to create a new form of the healthcare media.
