・ 箱は長年、紫外線の入る場所に展示されていたらしく、甲板 (!'.xi 2) と 正側1(1iそして），・・小側血の漆喰

膜の劣化が激しく、 壁側に懺かれていたと思われる面は劣化が少なし。

・ 身の上段は前後が逆さに長年展示されていたと思われ、 正しい）j 向にl化すと 盗と身の 卜.段の漆和l知の 劣化状態に違いがある（図 4 · 5)。

・ 箱の表面には、艶出しのために塗った塗料が劣化して賛色く変色し、冷股には糸HIかなI床）［文か入り艶の ない状態である。

． 蓋の側面角には、木地接合部と思われる箇所に亀裂が入り（図 6 · 7) 、 後Ill.·修 Jlj!_で11'(された形跡があ る。

・ 身の上段の正面左側角には、大きな亀裂が入り 2 ミ＇）程透間が間いている。 亀裂は約か ら側 1(1iに広が り、木地が反り返って拡大する恐れのある危険な状態である。 この亀裂部分は後1 廿修 J.用されていた。

・身の下段角の玉縁及び立上り部分には打損による欠損がある。

・ 身の下段の内側見込み部分には、木地の接ぎ合わせ部分と思、われる箇:)'),に 8 ヂ程の亀裂がある。

・ 身の上段の側面には、後世修理時に付いた指紋の団亦がある。

ク リ ーニングは、狡料衣1(1 jを毅っている校は t枠で取り L り、 イ·'1\:かに水分を合ませた本綿イIiにてi り i しを除 L した。

く劣化唸料の除 l~

本登料は、 艶のなくなった漆墜膜の復元のために唸られた裕料が劣化し、裕）l凡如(―1iが筑色く変色し ていた。 如 (1iの漆除）l災には細かな断文があり、強い溶剤を使うと iJか絵部分に彩鰐を りえるため、極力 弱い浴剤を試してみた。 糸占呆、純水だけでは）又）心がなく、純水に少鮎の工タノールを加えただけで塗 料は解けだした。 従って、塗料の除去は綿布に少批の純水とエタノールを合ませて行った。 (lxl

紫外線の彩罰が強い控膜而は、 徐料と漆塗股がドロドロに解けてしまい、蒔絵部分の金粉か剥き出 し状態にあったため、 劣化墜料の除去は細心の注、？揺を払い行った。

く）） II湿による木地強制〉

木査料の 1り部及び登膜の亀裂は、乾媒による木地の収縮が原因であると推測できるため、資料全体 を }JII湿保イ（し柔軟性を取り戻す作業が必要になった。 本資料を加湿した小箱に長期保存し、木地が柔 軟になってから端金で微力の圧力をかけて強制し、反り返った部分を戻す作業を行った。 木地強制 は、 一歩間違えると木地構造を崩壊する恐れがあるため少しずつ慎重に行った結果、作業は 2 ヵ月に

及んだ。

＜漆l,'ilめ〉

ふ (1j i叩l災に喰られた喰料を溶剤で除 Lした ところ、 一部分の漆喰股は紫外線による劣化 が激しく、 艶の無い状態であった。 4井に身の

するため強）Jな按着剤が必災となった。 接着 剤は、 グルテンの：化を多くした小支粉に /I:I「 味漆を練り合せ、桜着力の強い父漆を使川 し た (1$<112)。

盗及び身の上段灼部分の他災は、 JJLJfりに）文 んでいたため詞II、'i= に作業する必炭があった。 H冴"i'- は本資料を木枠内に固巫して、 竹ひごの 弾力 を利用した芯眼り技法で1i"うことにした

（図 13 · 14)。

席）l如の欠失した部分は、刻＇；て形状復元を hった。 刻＇戸は、刻＇戸）llに叫懲した父漆に柚材の本粉 麻の繊糾を訓かくした粉を混ぜ合わせ、珪藻 卜を焼いた地ノ粉を加えて作り、ク(111 部の形状が賂う で数1111充j展し似元を行った。 形状1U;じした部分は、砥石や鑢で刻苧）JJLを賂えた（図15· 16)。 く際錆及び漆固め〉

形状復元した部分や亀裂部分には、手擦れや再糾蕗を防 ぐため際鈷を施した。 漆陀膜がリ．！；漆喰＇）の 町蒻部分の際錆は、 呂色漆と生正味漆を混ぜた門瀬漆に、 微粒子の地ノ粉 （饂島四辺地地ノ粉） を枇 ぜ合わせた納を使用した。

蒔絵の損傷部分の際錆は、木地呂漆と梨[-地漆に微粒 f の賛砥の粉（砥の粉を水簸して作った粉） と 数種類の金粉を混ぜ合わせた金錆を施し、 f闊裂部分を 1—い'(たなくした（図 17)。

塗膜表面の強化と修復をした部分の漆固めとして、生正味漆と木地呂漆を混ぜ合わせて浴剤で名枡 し漆固めを行った。 また、 高蒔絵部分は、木地呂漆と梨了•地漆を混ぜ合わせて漆固めを行い、付オi'r'iの 際などに余分な漆が残らないよう丁京に拭きと った。

〈損傷部分の蒔絵復元〉

金錆を施した損傷部分をより 目立たなくするため、金消粉で金地1M;じを行った。 m1蒻部分に梨[-地 漆を薄塗りし、漆の乾きを待って真綿で金消粉を施した。なお、金泊粉を施すだけでは11立ちすぎる ため、梨子地漆を数回復元した部分に漆固めを行い、周辺裕）l災との，U,'iJ禾IIをとった。

松の枝部分に蒔かれた粉は、雲の先瑞部分に1L1i かれた粉とほほ詞じ行金粉である。

・ 切金

分析の結果、金に 10% 程度の銀が含まれていることが確認された。 現状のり）令は、 少 し,/ド味がカ た色をしていることから、令に含ま i した銀の銹化によるものと息われる。

・ 雲の後世修理部分

分析の結果、金の純度はオリ ジナルの金に近いが、銅が令く含まi していないことから児なる材料で ある。 修復の際、オリ ジナルの蒔絵粉を除 L し、新たにiiぷ絵したと推測できる。

・ 唐戸面

ら1;・部分に使われた丸粉と遥い、粒: r-の細かな粉 WI 粉）が使われているが化学糾成はほほ同じであ

本査料の木地枯'f. 造の確謡のためテジタル X線透過撮影を行った結果、 木地の材質、 構造、布省せ t, ど幾つかの情報が得られた。

· X 線叫'.(から木査料に使われた索地は、針菜樹の~;II:111[又りした材が使われている。また、 亀裂部分か の観察で木IIや木質から、木地の材質は柏材と甜:i似している。

・ 苦の甲板及び身の）氏板は、 柾II材を 4 枚桜ぎ合わせて辿られている。

・ 苦、身の側1Mfりの）柑）噌1iの木地柚造は、 三灼形の材を1村側灼に張り付けて補強 した‘ド留接ぎで糾み立 てられている。

・ 身 卜段の｝氏板は、 側板に嵌め込んだh界辿である。

． 係の印椒部分の木地）！］は、約 5 ミ リ 、 側椒は約I .5 ミ リ 、 側1(1ifり （），り）ⁱ 1(1i) は約 1 ミ リ である。
