神様のみ心どおりの恵み
8 イスラエルはヨセフの子らに 気づいて言った。「これはだれ か。」9 ヨセフは父に答えた。 「神がここで私に授けてくださっ た子どもです。」すると父は、 「彼らを私のところに連れて来 なさい。私は彼らを祝福しよう」 と言った。 10 イスラエルの目は老齢のた めにかすんでいて、見ることが できなかった。それでヨセフが 彼らを父のところに近寄らせる と、父は彼らに口づけし、彼ら を抱いた。 創世記 48・Genesis 48
8 When Israel saw Joseph’s
sons, he said, “Who are these?” 9 Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” And he said,
“Bring them to me, please, that I may bless them.”
10 Now the eyes of Israel
were dim with age, so that he could not see. So
Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them.
11 イスラエルはヨセフに言っ た。「私はあなたの顔が見られ ようとは思わなかったのに、今 こうして、神はあなたの子ども をも私に見させてくださった。」 14 すると、イスラエルは、右 手を伸ばして、弟であるエフラ イムの頭の上に置き、左手をマ ナセの頭の上に置いた。マナセ が長子であるのに、彼は手を交 差して置いたのである。
11 And Israel said to Joseph,
“I never expected to see
your face; and behold, God has let me see your
off-spring also.” ...
14 And Israel stretched out
his right hand and laid it on the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, crossing his hands (for Manasseh was the firstborn). …
17 ヨセフは父が右手をエフラ イムの頭の上に置いたのを見て、 それはまちがっていると思い、 父の手をつかんで、それをエフ ライムの頭からマナセの頭へ移 そうとした。18 ヨセフは父に 言った。「父上。そうではあり ません。こちらが長子なのです から、あなたの右の手を、こち らの頭に置いてください。」 19 しかし、父は拒んで言った。 「わかっている。わが子よ。私 にはわかっている。彼もまた一 つの民となり、また大いなる者 となるであろう。
17 When Joseph saw that
his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him, and he took his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to
Manasseh’s head. 18 And Joseph said to his father, “Not this way, my father; since this one is the
firstborn, put your right hand on his head.”
19 But his father refused
and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great.
19 しかし弟は彼よりも大きくな り、その子孫は国々を満たすほ ど多くなるであろう。」20 そし て彼はその日、彼らを祝福して 言った。「あなたがたによって、 イスラエルは祝福のことばを述 べる。『神があなたをエフライ ムやマナセのようになさるよう に。』」こうして、彼はエフラ イムをマナセの先にした。 21 イスラエルはヨセフに言った。 「私は今、死のうとしている。 しかし、神はあなたがたととも におられ、あなたがたをあなた がたの先祖の地に帰してくださ る。
19 Nevertheless, his younger
brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring
shall become a multitude of nations.” 20 So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will pronounce
blessings, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as
Manasseh.’” Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.
21 Then Israel said to Joseph,
“Behold, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you again to the
blessings
“God has let me see your offspring also.”
「今こうして、神はあなたの子どもをも私に見させて くださった。」
“As for me, when I came from Paddan, to my sorrow Rachel died in the land of Canaan on the way.”
「私がパダンから帰って来たとき、その途上カナンの 地で、悲しいことに、ラケルが死んだ。」
“And now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh
shall be mine, as Reuben and Simeon are. And the children that you fathered after them
shall be yours. They shall be called by the
name of their brothers in their inheritance.”
「今、私がエジプトに来る前に、エジプトの地で生まれ たあなたのふたりの子は、私の子となる。エフライムと マナセはルベンやシメオンと同じように私の子にする。 しかしあとからあなたに生まれる子どもたちはあなたの ものになる。しかし、彼らが家を継ぐ場合、彼らは、彼 らの兄たちの名を名のらなければならない。」 創世記・Genesis 48:5-6
“I never expected to see your face; and
behold, God has let me see your offspring also.”

To the one who works, his wages are not
counted as a gift but as his due. … The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
働く者の場合に、その報酬は恵みでなくて、当然支払 うべきものとみなされます。･･･ 罪から来る報酬は死 です。しかし、神の下さる賜物は、私たちの主キリス ト・イエスにある永遠のいのちです。
“And now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh

But Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on
the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, crossing his hands,
although Manasseh was the firstborn.

すると、イスラエルは、右手を伸ばして、弟であるエフライ ムの頭の上に置き、左手をマナセの頭の上に置いた。マナセ が長子であるのに、彼は手を交差して置いたのである。

“Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his
head.”
「父上。そうではありません。こちらが長子なのです から、あなたの右の手を、こちらの頭に置いてくださ い。」
“I know, my son, I know.”
「わかっている。わが子よ。私にはわかっている。」
By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, bowing in worship over the head of his staff.
信仰によって、ヤコブは死ぬとき、ヨセフの子どもた
ちをひとりひとり祝福し、また自分の のかしらに寄
りかかって礼拝しました。
God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
And because of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, right-eousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who
boasts, boast in the Lord.”
また、この世の取るに足りない者や見下されている者 を、神は選ばれました。すなわち、有るものをない者 のようにするため、無に等しいものを選ばれたのです。 これは、神の御前でだれをも誇らせないためです。し かしあなたがたは、神によってキリスト・イエスのう ちにあるのです。キリストは、私たちにとって、神の 知恵となり、また、義と聖めと、贖いとになられまし た。まさしく、「誇る者は主を誇れ」と書いてあると おりになるためです。 第１コリント 1:28-31
“Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you again to the land of your fathers. Moreover, I have given to you rather than to your brothers one mountain slope that I took from the hand of the Amorites with my
sword and with my bow.”
イスラエルはヨセフに言った。「私は今、死のうとしてい る。しかし、神はあなたがたとともにおられ、あなたがた をあなたがたの先祖の地に帰してくださる。私は、あなた の兄弟よりも、むしろあなたに、私が剣と弓とをもってエ モリ人の手から取ったあのシェケムを与えよう。」 創世記・Genesis 48:21, 22
“God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me.”
“Behold, I am about to die, but God will be with you.” 「全能の神がカナンの地ルズで私に現れ、私を祝福し て［くれた］。」 私は今、死のうとしている。しかし、神はあなたがた とともにおられる。」 創世記・Genesis 48:3,21
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us — for it is written,
“Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.
キリストは、私たちのためにのろわれたものとなって、私 たちを律法ののろいから贖い出してくださいました。なぜ なら、「木にかけられる者はすべてのろわれたものである」 と書いてあるからです。このことは、アブラハムへの祝福 が、キリスト・イエスによって異邦人に及ぶためであり、 その結果、私たちが信仰によって約束の御霊を受けるため なのです。 ガラテヤ・Galatians 3:13-14
I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole
