Communication Workshops
Nagasaki City (Cultural Promotion Division) will organize and facilitate original workshops to bridge communication gaps between foreign residents and Japanese people of Nagasaki, using “theatrical” methods and techniques as follows. Please fill out and submit to the contact person named below the application form (attached hereto), stating when you are willing to join these workshops. Come and join us!
1.Workshop “Wa/Ka/Ran” (Interaction among people who are interested in cross-cultural communication)
*“Wakaran” (Nagasaki dialect) means “I don’t understand” or “I have no idea” in English, and “Wa”, “Ka” and “Ran” when written in Kanji also mean “Japan”, “China” and “Netherlands” respectively (This term stands for the international and cross-cultural city Nagasaki).
1) Qualification for participation: Those who live and/or work in Nagasaki, and also are interested in the cross-cultural communication (up to 10 persons) 2) Time & date: 18:00-21:00, October 29 (Sun.), 2017
3) Place: Nagasaki Brick Hall Second floor Rehearsal room (2-38 Mori-machi, Nagasaki City)
*The nearest street car stop is “Mori-machi”.
Japanese language skill needed: Daily conversation level (preferably) Instructor for the workshops: Junnosuke Tada (theater director and actor) Participation fee: 500 JPY
