１ ユニットの概要
Medical English courses are designed to help students become independent lifelong learners
and healthcare professionals who can utilize English in medical contexts and contribute to
the local and global community. Students are expected to acquire English for Medical
Purposes (EMP), which consists of Core English (general English) and Medical English
Terminology.

（特記事項）
1. 各セッションにおいて医学用語、Speaking、Writing、読解・文法・語彙の４分野の評価それ
ぞれ行う。
2. 出席率は教員毎、セッション毎に判断する。
3. Core Englishの英語運用力を測るTOEFLは必須であり、460点を60点として成績に加算される。
460点未満の学生には課題を課す。（該当学生は「医学英語 III」で再度TOEFLを受験する。）
4. ユニットの最終評価はすべてを総合したものとする。ただし、セッション毎の各分野の成績が
すべて合格点に達しており、
TOEFL-ITPを受験していること、およびTOEFLの点数を加算後
の成績が６０点以上であることをユニットの単位認定基準とする。

事前事後学修について
授業
1 コマにつき、事前学修・事後学修として計 1 時間程度必要である。
医学用語：授業で学んだ語彙（発音含）を復習し、小テストの準備をする。携帯小テストを行う。
Speaking：Read assigned pages before class and be ready to actively participate. Practice
speaking after class.
読解・文法・語彙：授業内容を復習し、小テストの準備をする。

課題（試験やレポート等）に関するフィードバック
医学用語：小テストについては、講義中に解説する。学期の途中で行う試験については、適宜
フィードバックを行う。
Speaking：口頭試験については、２週間以内にスコアを掲示し適宜フィードバックを行う。
Writing：課題、試験両方について、各自にフィードバックを行う。
読解・文法・語彙：小テストについては、講義中に解説する。学期の途中で行う試験について
は、適宜フィードバックを行う。
